Description

DESIGN.
No. 29,776. Patented Dec. 6, I898.
L. s. RICHARDSON. Q
BELT PLATE.
(Application filed Oct. 31, 1898.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
LILA S. RICHARDSON, OF MILWAUKEE, \VISOONSIN.
DESIGN FOR A BELT-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,776, dated December 6, 1898.
Application filed October 31, 1898. Serial No. 695,131. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LILA S. RICHARDSON, of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have invented and roduced a new and original Design for a elt-Plate for Skirt and lV-aist Holders, of which the following is a description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which area part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a belt-plate, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a View of the top edge of the plate shown in Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the fiat plate having an edge of the contour shown in the drawings. The plate is in the form of a somewhat elongated parallelogram, one longer edge of which has an elongated de pression or inset portion at A and the other longer edge has a similar elongated depression or inset edge A, directly opposite the first-mentioned depression and substantially like it, except that it is in reversed position. These depressions are at a little distance from one end of the plate and at a greater distance from the other end of the plate. At a little distance from the depression A and in the same edge of the plate there is a shorter but slightly deeper depression 13, which depression is at a little distance from the adjacent end of the plate. Elongated parallel apertures in and transversely of the plate are arranged at distances apart and in parts of the plate adjacent to but not opposite the depressions in the edges of the plate that is, they are not within the transverse planes extending across the plate from and coequal in width with the depressions, but are located alternately with such transverse planes extending across the plate from the depressions.
\Vhat I claim as my invention is- The design for a belt-plate, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
LILA S. RICHARDSON.
