Be it known that I, EDWARD T. GILBERT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, county of Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Guy Clamping-Plate, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of a guy clam ping-plate, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is avertical section on the line 2 2, Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a vertical section on the line 3 3, Fig. 1, Figs. E. and 3 being arranged in the saine plane. Fig. 4 is a view in section on the line 4 4, Fig. l.
As shown in the drawings, u represents a clamping-plate.
The leading or material features of my design consist of a plate grooved longitudinally on each side thereof, as indicated at a' and a2, each of the grooves being provided with corrugations formed of a series of depressions a3 and a. series of raised portions or ribs a, the depressions and raised portions of said grooves on opposite sides of the plate alternating, the depressions of one groove being located opposiie the raised portions of the other groove. 0n the outside of each groove is a marginal rib, rising above the corresponding groove, as shown. Between said grooves is a plane surface, rising above the grooves. The plate is provided with boltoricesin the raised plane surface intermediate the grooves, (indicated at a5.)
