UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ALBERT PLATZ, JR, OF RAUINE, WISCONSIN.
DESIGN FOR SKIRT-BINDING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,585, dated April 18, 1899.
Application filed February 27, 1899. Serial No. 707,115. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALBERT PLATZ, Jr., a citizen of the United States, residing at Racine, county of Racine, and State of Wisconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Skirt-Binding, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, form ing a part thereof, and in which l igurel is a perspective view of my invention as seen from one side thereof. Fig. 2 is a similar view of the reverse side.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist in the Wide and narrow strips or bands arranged one upon the other and secured together, the narrow strip A being located upon one side of the wider strip B and the edges of the two strips being alined on one side and serrated,as
shown. The exposed surface of the strip A is roughened, while the strip B on the side on which the strip A is secured is comparatively smooth-surfaced, but on the opposite side is roughened, as shown in Fig. 52, to correspond with the exposed surface of the strip A. (Shown in Fig. 1.)
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a skirt-binding, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
ALBERT PLATZ, JR.
