DESIGN FOR A BOOK-EDGE PROTECTOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,284, dated November 12, 1901.

Beitknown that I, CEDRIo CHIvERs, a subject of His Majesty the King of GreatBritain, residing at- Bath, in the county of Somerset, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Book-Edge Protector, of which the following is a specification, reference being made tothe accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, in which the figure is a perspective View of the design in question.
As illustrated in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the configuration or shape of the protector, which has three sides a, forming an incomplete rectangle. Near the sides a and substantially parallel thereto and within the incomplete rectangular figure thus formed is a second incomplete rectangular figure formed by the sides I). From the upper and lower of the sides 0 projects a flap c, the flaps extending toward each other in a plane at right angles to the plane of the sides a. A fiat strip-like ornament 6 projects from one of the free ends of a side a, and the end of this ornament e terminates is a ring-shaped ornament 01.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for a book-edge protector as herein shown and described.
