To a ZZ whom/ it may canoe/'11 Be it known that I, JAMES M. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Villa Park, in the county of Orange and State of California, have invented and produced a new and useful original Design for a Pan or Kettle Scraper, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a pan and kettle scraper, and has for its object to provide a design of this character which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a scraper-blade in the form of a flat substantially rectangular plate, having a handle extending from an intermediate portion and at substantially right angles to the plane of the blade and comprising straight and substantially parallel members, which have their outer ends joined and forming a longitudinally-elongated and substantially elliptical loop and the members being twisted together longitudinally and forming interlocked coils located intermediate of the loop and the parallel portions thereof.
A minor feature of the design resides in the rectangular blade having the rounded corners and the single convex or outwardly-bowed marginal edge, the remaining edges of the blade being substantially straight.
In the drawings, Figure l is a perspective view of a pan and kettle scraper embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a bottom plan view of the scraper-blade.
Corresponding parts in both figures of the drawings are designated by like characters of reference.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates the scraper-blade in the form of a substantially rectangular flat plate, having the rounded corners 2 and a single convexed or outwardly-bowed marginal edge 3, the remaining edges 4 being substantially straight. Extending from the center of the flat blade and in a plane at substantially right angles thereto is a handle 5, comprising straight substantially parallel wire members 6, lo cated contiguous to the blade, the outer ends of the members being joined and formed into a longitudinally-elongated and substantially elliptical loop 7 and the members being also twisted together longitudinally into interlocked coils 8, located intermediate of the loop and the parallel portions of the members.
What I claim is- The design for a pan and kettle scraper herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto affixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
