fly A T RN Y 0 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES D. OROUTT, OF DAYTON, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A STOOL-LEG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,113, dated October 14, 1902.
Application filed August 23, 1902. serial No. 120,864- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES D. ORCUTT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new, original, and ornamental Design for a Stool-Leg; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure l is a front elevation showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation. Fig. 3 is a top plan view.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist in a series of circular figures C in relief, which are surrounded on all sides by a bar D, the outer surface of which is also in relief.
The upper terminal of the leg consists of a flat plate A, which extends horizontally and terminates in projections a. The front edge of the plate A is provided with a series of small circular ornamentations b, and the portion of the upper surface of said plate A adjacent to the front edge thereof is also provided with a series of circular ornamentations 1).
The upper portion of the leg has an ornamental surface consisting of scrollwork c and e.
The leg containing the above ornamental features terminates at its lower end in a foot B. Near the central part of said leg it partakes of a bend, as at E, which throws that portion of the leg outwardly on a plane with the outer edge of the foot B, as shown in Fig. 2.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The ornamental design for a stool-leg, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I atfix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
