DESIGN FOR A DlVAN-FRAM E.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, DE \VATT PEPPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Milford, in the county of Litchfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a certain new, original, and ornamental Design for a Divan-Frame; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full,clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The accompanying drawing is a front view in perspective of my ornamental design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material features of my ornamental design consist of the front side portions 1, having a general scroll-like shape and terminated at their lower ends by portions 2, which constitute feet, these portions 2 being bounded in the front and in the rear by convex surfaces and on the bottom by perfectly-flat plain surfaces; the seat-frame 3, which is horizontally disposed between the portions 1 and has a convex face throughout its length; the short arm portions 4 at the front of the sides of the divan and adjoining the portions 1 at substantially right angles thereto; the knoblike portions 5 at the points where the portions 1 and 4 meet; the series of notch-like ornamentations 6, extending throughout the front faces of the knobs 5; and the general scrolllike oruamentations 7 at the sides of the arms 4, the top surfaces of these arms being bounded by generally concavo-convex curves, while the bottom surfaces of said arms are flat.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The ornamental design for a divan-fraine, as herein shown and described.
