DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR SPOONS, 800.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,116, dated July 4, 1899.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR G. ROGERS, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new Design for a Handle for Spoons, Forks, Knives, and Similar Articles; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of referencemarked thereon, to be a full, clear, and eXact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a face view of a handle embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for a handle for-spoons, forks, knives, and similar articles; and it consists in the design as hereinafter described and shown in the accompanying illustration.
The general outline of the handle is similar to that of the fiddle-back pattern, and the face is ornamented by long scrolls A, extend- Application filed June 9,1899. Serial No. 719,977. Term of patent 7 years.

The main portion of the upper end of the handle is plain, forming an elliptical panel D, which is contracted at its ends, the lower end merging into the f0- liated scrolls C, and on each side are floral scrolls E, which are elaborated at the upper end, terminating in an ornamental tip F.
I claim The design for a handle for spoons, forks, knives and similar articles as herein shown and described.
