HENRY L. \VALLACE, OF \VALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE R. \VALLACE & SONS MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR SPOONS, FORKS, 800.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,524, dated May 3, 1898.
Application filed February 8, 1898. Serial No. 669.591. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY L. WALLACE, of \Vallingford, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for a Handle for Spoons, Forks, &JC.; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be afnll, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a face View of a spoon embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for ahandle forspoons, forks, and similar articles; and the design consists in the ornamentation of the handle, as herein shown and described.
The handle tapers from its inner end outward to its upper end, where it is surmounted by a shell-like tip A.
Starting from outwardly-curved scrolls B at the inner end of the handle are long narrow scrolls C, extending throughout the entire length of the handle and meeting the shell-like tip A. Also,starting from the scrolls B at the inner end of the handle are short scrolls D, which extend about onethird the length of the handle, and starting from these scrolls D are similar scrolls E, and from these scrolls E spring scrolls F, which extend to the upper end of the handle, where they terminate and are connected by a short scroll G, the said scrolls inclosing a plain central panel H, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- A design for a handle for spoons, forks and similar articles as herein shown and described.
