The leading features of my design reside in an easel having a straight or right-lined baserod and side rods commencing at each extremity of the base-rod, the portion of each side rod immediately adjoining the base-rod forming a rearwardly and upwardly extended stretch or section, the side rods being bent at the top of these rearwardly-extended portions at substantially right angles thereto, forming upwardly and forwardly extended stretches, another angle being formed at the upper end of the upwardly and forwardly extended side 2 5 portion, a third angle formed at the lower end of a downwardly-extended portion, and a downwardly and forwardly extending stretch commencing at the said third angle and terminating in a semicircular or approximately 0 semicircular portion, the side rods being duplicates of each other.
'In said drawing the base portion a a is shown straight or right-lined. At each extremity of this base-rod commences a side or ridge portion. The Wire is so bent that each side portion presents three angles. One an gle, a is formed at the upper end of a rearwardly-extended stretch or section of the side. Another angle, a is formed at the upper end of an upwardly and forwardly extended side portion. Another angle, a, is formed at the lower end of a downwardly-extended portion, and the free ends or the forwardly and downwardly extended portions are bent into semicircular or approximately semicircular portions, as seen at a The design presents an easel having a novel, pleasing, and distinguished appearance.
That I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for an easel substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
hi STEPHEN l-IUSTYAVA.
