DESIGN FOR A FASTENING-EYE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,534, dated May 3, 1898.
Application filed March 12, 1898. Serial No. 673,667. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JAMES THOMSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Glenside, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Fastening-Eyes; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention has relation to a new and original design for fastening-eyes; and it consists of a fastening-eye of the configuration and ornamentation shown in the accompanying drawings, in which-- Figure 1 is a perspective view of my new fastening-eye, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
The leading features of my design consist in the fastening-eye comprising the bail 1, the end a of which is curved outwardly, as at 2, thence laterally, as at 3, thence forwardly and upwardly, as at 4, thence laterally, as at 5, thence slightly forwardly, as at 6, thence slightly rearwardly, as at 7, thence laterally, as shown at 8, thence toward the portion 4, thence downwardly and rearwardly, as at .l, and thence laterally and forwardly, as shown at 10, and joining the end b of the bail.
What I claim is The design for a fastening-eye, as herein shown and described.
