DE WATT PEPPER, OF NEW MILFORD, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A COUCH-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,208, dated January 27, 1903.
Application filed December 26, 1902. Serial No. 136,750. Termof patent 3% years.
To 00% whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, DE WATT PEPPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Milford, in the county of Litchfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Couch-Frame; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The accompanying drawing shows a front elevation of my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material features of my design consist of the sides 1, havinga general scroll-like shape and bounded by compound curves which gradu ally diverge from the top to the bottom, and the scroll-like grooves 2 within the front faces of said sides and extending close to and parallel with the outer edges of said faces, the rest of the surface of the latter being left perfectly plain, the seat-frame, Whose front edge is composed of portions 3, which meet in the center of said frame at an obtuse angle and form an upwardly-extendingapex 4, said portions being then depressed and extended outwardly toward the ends on a gradual rise and terminated by knee-like portions 5, which constitute feet and are provided with toe-like ornamentations 6, the portions 3 having along their lower edges beaded ornamentations 7, which terminate at the center in scroll-like figures 8.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The ornamental design for a couch-frame, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
