UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MARCILLIEN BOURGEOIS, OF THIBODAUX, LOUISIANA.
DESIGN FOR A WEED-CUTTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,975, dated January 10, 1899.
Application filed December 16, 1898. Serial No. 699,509. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it ntaty concern:
Be it known that I, MARCILLIEN BOUR- GEOIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Thibodaux, in the parish of Lafourche and State of Louisiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Weed- Cutter and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a section on the line indicated by at m. Fig. 3 is a section on the line indicated byy 11 As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the double-curved lip A, one of the curves being in the face or side of the lip and extending from the point B of the lip toward and merging into the straight part C of the cutter, the other curve being in the edge of the lip and follows the first-mentioned curve along said edge from the point B to the straight-edge portion D of the cutter. The straight part 0 and straight edge D terminate at the top end of the cutter in a cylindrical portion E, and the bottom end terminates in the lip A, which gradually curves upward and out of line with or plane of the straight part of the cutter.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a weed-cutter, as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand in the presence of two witnesses.
MARCILLIEN BOURGEOIS.
