UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK SCIIILIAING, OF MUNOIE, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,462, dated August 29, 1899.
Application filed August 7, 1899. Serial No. 726,474. Term of patent 7 years .n all whmn it may concern.-
lieitknownthatI,FRANKSCHILLING,acitizen of the United States, residing at Muucie, in the county of Delaware and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawings, forminga part thereof, and wherein like letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of a bottle, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a section on the line 2 3, Fig. 1, looking downward.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a bottle having the plain side portion A and an ornamented shonlderand neck portion. The ornamentation on the shoulder of the bottle consists of two curved beads A, which intersect each other and extend npwardl y and form the points A". From these points the beads extend downwardly and are curved, as shown at B. At the point-oi intersection the beads are broken, leaving a space which is filled with a diamond-shaped projection 0. Arranged between the beads are the ellipticalshaped projections D. Between the points A are arranged smaller ellipticalprojections E. Below the beads, where the shoulder commences, is arranged an an nnlargroove F, and between this groove and the beads are arranged elliptical projeetions II. Around the neck of the bottle is arranged a band I, havinga scallop edge I. This band is ornamented with a series of elliptical projections K.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a bottle, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto atfixed mysignatnre in the presence of two witnesses.
