Description

DRAW I NB FQGE UNQ'v'Q I LQBLE DOCUMENT NUMBER UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRED PARKER AND HARRY PARKER, OF JERSEY CITY, NEV JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH-CASE.
December 18, 1888.
Application fil d November 14, 1888. Serial No. 290,863. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, FRED PARKER and HARRY PARKER, citizens of the United States, residing at Jersey City, Hudson eounty,1\ ew Jersey, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a atch-Case, fully described and represented in the following specification and the accompanying drawings, forming a part of the same.
This design relates to anew ornamentation for the back of a watch-case; and it consists in a back having projecting segments of annular moldings upon its outer rim.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a fiat view of the back. Fig. 2 is a section on line a; co in Fig. 1, showing the sectional profile of the segmental moldings at opposite sides of the back, and Fig. 3 is a section on line y y in Fig. 1, showing a rounded form upon the outer rim of the back.
(L is the baelgb its outer rim, and 0 separate segments of annular molding projecting from the rim of the back, and shown herein of different profile or section.
A Design patent, No. 18,608, dated September 11, 1888, has heretofore been granted to F. Parker for a molding around the edge of a watch-lid, composed of two continuous portions of different shapes, and we do not therefore claim the ornamentation of a watch-back by forming the rim of molded segments united to one another; but the peculiarity of our present design consists in the application of separate distinct projecting segments of annular molding to the rim of the back.
Having thus set forth our invention, what we claim is The design for a watch-ease, as herein shown and described, the same consisting in the back provided with the rim 1), having projecting segments 0 of annular molding, substantially as set forth.
In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands in the presence of two subscribing,
witnesses.
