DESIGN FOR A COVERED DISH OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,873, dated June 26, 1900.
Application filed May 31, 1900. Serial No. 18,683. Term of patent '7 years.

Beit known that I, CHARLES EDWARD HAVI- LAND,acitizen of the United States, residing at Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Covered Dish or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of a covered dish bearing and incorporating my design. Fig. 2 is a top view of same, and Fig. 3 is a horizontal section of a portion of same on the dotted line 3 3 of Fig. l.
The leading features of my design consist of the ornamental form and configuration of the dish and its cover, substantially as illustrated in the drawings.
In the drawings, A designates the body of the dish, and 13 the cover therefor. The bod y A has the downwardlyextending side surfaces 0 and the thence inwardly and downwardly extending surfaces D, which terminate at the ornate scalloped base E. The body A bears along its upper edge the sealloped ornate configuration F, and at its ends has handles G. The cover B has an elevated central portion bearing the handle 11, and the edges of said cover are scalloped, as at I, to harmonize with the scalloped configuration F along the upper edges of the body A.
What I claim is The design for acovered dish or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
