The leading features of my design may be\ understood from the following description, taken in connection with the illustration.
In the illustration, A indicates the surbase 0f the stove, the same reaching from the bottom of the stovcbody to the leg-base and hav ing a batter, B, the base, projectingoutward in front of the stove after the manner of a hearth; C, the corners of the frontal projection of the base, said corners projecting forward from the balance ofthe base; D, a.foot-rail, ofrope pattern, supported on blocks above the projections O; E, terminals of the foot-rail where the footrail joins the supporting-blocks, said terminals being in the form of dolphin-heads swallowing the ends of the foot-rail and terminating outwardly in upturned cornucopias; F, hearths projecting from the ends of the stove`l body above the level of the base, about even with the top of the surbase; G, a series of isolated foliated ornaments superposed upon the marginal moldings of the ends of the stovebody; H, panels superposed upon the front face of the stove, one near each end, said panels having frames carrying each a central tile. Above and below each tile are foliated ornaments' cast to the panel-frame, and pierced or left open to show the dark stove-body behind the panels; I, a rectangular lower front door having rectangular panels of mosaic piercings or open-work, said piercings showing dark by reason of the dark recesses behind the door the door having an outward swell;' J, a segmental series of register-openings arranged concentrically over a circle-top front door; K, end portions of the top of the stove-body, projecting visor-like outwardly and upwardly, and having boldly-curved corners; L, an arch projecting from the roof of Athe stove at the central portion of the stove-front over the front door; M, the eaves 'of the arc ed roof of the stove, the same being in a plane to the rear of the projecting arch L; N, that portion of the roof of the stove forming an inward continuation of the arch L, the same mitering into the main roof of the stove, the main roof having the form ofan arch to which the portion N is transverse, thus producing a cruciform stove-roof, the intersection of the roof-arches being' formed with a dais for a dome; O, a cylindrical dome-body having pierced or openwork foliated panels, the dome-body rising from the center of the roof of the stove, and being surxnounted by a hemispherical top, a globe, and an eagle; P, ornamental work upon the upper surface of the projecting end portions,K,of the roof, such ornamentation con sisting of a vase of iiame flanked by foliated scrolls, and Q the arched top front door hav ing an outward centralswell.
