Description
本發明係關於一種圓盤輥,其包含一旋轉軸及藉由插入而安裝於旋轉軸上的環狀圓盤,藉此圓盤之周邊表面充當一輸送表面。更明確地說,本發明係關於一種適合供生產一高品質玻璃板中使用的圓盤輥。本發明進一步係關於一種圓盤輥用之基材,其係供生產用於圓盤輥之圓盤中使用。
在一玻璃板的生產中,一輸送機構為自一熔融態玻璃形成玻璃板或為退火所形成之玻璃板所必需的。此輸送機構通常包含輸送輥,且圓盤輥被用作一類此等輸送輥。
圖1為說明作為一實施例之圓盤輥10的概略圖。此圓盤輥10係以下文之方式生產。將一含有無機纖維、填充劑、作為黏合劑的黏土及其他成份之含水漿料藉由一紙張製造方法而形成為一薄片並乾燥,以形成一具有約若干毫米之厚度的板狀材料。自所得經乾燥的圓盤輥用之基材中衝壓出環狀圓盤,且將此等圓盤12藉由插入而安裝於一充當一旋轉軸的金屬軸11上。因此,獲得一輥型堆疊。經由分別安置於兩端上的凸緣13而壓縮整個堆疊,且將處於此略微壓縮狀態中的此等圓盤12用螺母15或其類似物固定。在如此所獲得之圓盤輥10中,圓盤12之周邊表面作用為一輸送表面。
此等圓盤輥10被安裝在一如圖2所示之玻璃板生產裝置100中,且用於玻璃板形成及輸送。此玻璃板生產裝置100為一裝置,其中一熔融玻璃110係經由一熔爐101之一線狀狹縫102而自該爐連續排出,且使所排出的此條形熔融玻璃110下降且在下降期間冷卻並硬化以藉此生產一玻璃板。圓盤輥10作用為一對抽拉輥,其將條形熔融玻璃110固持於該對抽拉輥之間並強迫將其向下運送。剛在其生產之後的圓盤輥10係由僅藉由成形含水漿料而獲得的圓盤12構成。當將處於此狀態中之圓盤輥10用於輸送時,黏土被在與熔融玻璃110接觸時所轉移的熱量燒結。圓盤12因此硬化,且賦予圓盤12強度及耐磨性。硬化隨著重複與熔融玻璃110接觸而繼續。
自耐熱性的觀點來看,氧化鋁纖維及鋁矽酸鹽纖維被廣泛地用作無機纖維。氧化鋁纖維及鋁矽酸鹽纖維在加熱時結晶,或其結晶隨加熱而繼續進行,藉此此等纖維材料硬度增大。雖然氧化鋁纖維及鋁矽酸鹽纖維可經由其硬化而有助於對耐磨性之改良,但氧化鋁纖維或鋁矽酸鹽纖維在熔融玻璃110之表面溫度下皆不結晶。
已提議一種含有雲母粒子的圓盤輥(例如,參見專利文獻1),雲母粒子被併入以賦予耐熱性及耐磨性。然而,在使用氧化鋁纖維或鋁矽酸鹽纖維之配方的情況下,此等纖維對於耐磨性之貢獻並不像上文所陳述的一樣大。

已在彼等情況下達成的本發明之一目的為提供一具有耐熱性、耐磨性、及可撓性之一良好平衡組合且在此等特性上令人滿意的圓盤輥。
本發明之其他目的及作用將自下文之描述易瞭解。
為了實現該目的,本發明提供下文所示的圓盤輥用之基材及圓盤輥。
(1)一種圓盤輥用之基材,其為一用於獲得供一圓盤輥中使用之環狀圓盤的板狀模製物品,該圓盤輥包含一旋轉軸及藉由插入而安裝於該旋轉軸上的環狀圓盤,藉此圓盤之周邊表面充當一輸送表面,基材包含結晶溫度為800-900℃的無機纖維、一填充劑、及一黏土。
(2)如上文(1)之圓盤輥用之基材,其中無機纖維為生物可溶纖維。
(3)如上文(2)之圓盤輥用之基材,其中生物可溶纖維被磷酸鹽、鉬化合物、鋅化合物、聚脒化合物、或伸乙亞胺化合物塗佈。
(4)如上文(1)至(3)其中任一者的圓盤輥用之基材,其中無機纖維之含量為基於基材之總量的5-40質量%。
(5)一種圓盤輥,其包含一旋轉軸及藉由插入而安裝於該旋轉軸上的自如上文(1)至(4)其中任一者的圓盤輥用之基材切下的環狀圓盤,藉此圓盤之周邊表面充當一輸送表面。
(6)如上文(5)之圓盤輥,其當將一10 kgf/cm之負載在800℃下強加於輥表面上時具有0.05-0.3 mm之壓縮變形。
在本發明之圓盤輥中,圓盤中所含有之無機纖維在一熔融玻璃之表面溫度下結晶。因此,在與一熔融玻璃接觸時,無機纖維結晶,同時燒結黏土以形成一具有較高硬度的表面層,並藉此賦予極佳的耐熱性及耐磨性。另外,由於圓盤所固有的熱絕緣特性,在重複與一熔融玻璃接觸期間,熱量轉移至圓盤之內部部分被抑制,且因此,內部部分未過度硬化且可保持適度可撓性。因此,本發明之圓盤輥具有耐熱性、耐磨性、及可撓性的良好平衡組合,且具有較長壽命及較高效能。
本發明將於下文詳細解釋。
本發明的圓盤輥用之基材為黏土、填充劑、及結晶溫度為800-900℃的無機纖維(在下文中亦被簡稱為“無機纖維”)之混合物的板狀模製物品。
可利用當與水混合時展現黏度及塑性且在加熱時具有燒結之特性的黏土作為黏土。關於該種黏土,實施例包括木節土(Kibushi clay)、蛙目黏土(Gairome clay)及耐火黏土。在此等黏土中,木節土係較佳的,因為其在燒結中具有高黏合效應且具有低雜質含量。兩種或兩種以上黏土可根據需要來組合使用。
黏土可為已經由分離/純化而被調節以使得其中具有5 μm或大於5 μm之粒子直徑的組份之含量為30質量%或低於30質量%,較佳為15質量%或低於15質量%,更佳為10質量%或低於10質量%。關於其下限,一完全不含有具有5 μm或大於5 μm之粒子直徑之組份的黏土係最佳的。在粒子直徑上精細且均勻的此等黏土粒子展現較高的黏合能力且牢固地黏合其他構成圓盤之材料。
經由分離/純化,雜質亦同時被移除。總之,為一天然礦物的黏土之粒子直徑在某種程度上可藉由粉碎/分級來調節。
然而,黏土產物含有大量雜質,且在許多狀況下,雜質包括不易燒結的雜質(諸如,矽石)。在圓盤輥中,燒結及所得硬化在作為一與所輸送的材料(諸如,熔融玻璃)接觸之結果的使用期間進行。然而,不易燒結的雜質可為一抑制硬化功能的因素。另外,雜質包括許多堅硬物質,且存在堅硬物質可能損傷所轉移之材料(詳言之,一玻璃板)的可能性。雜質之含量較佳盡可能接近於零。然而,鑒於實際情況(包括人工及成本),雜質之含量較佳為基於全部黏土的10質量%或低於10質量%,尤其為5質量%或低於5質量%,更佳為1質量%或低於1質量%。
在調節粒子直徑以使其較小且落在上文所描述的給定範圍內以及在移除雜質中,使用濕式製程分級作為一分離/純化的方法係有效的。藉由進行濕式製程分級,不僅可將在比重或大小上不同的雜質移除,而且通常可在利用沈積速度隨粒子直徑變化的現象時獲得一具有比乾式分級中小的粒子直徑及一窄的粒子大小分佈的原料黏土。
可利用具有耐熱性,不展現與其他複合材料的不必要之反應性且不含有堅硬大粒子的填充劑作為填充劑。填充劑之實施例包括滑石粉、氧化鋁粉末、矽石粉末、高純度矽灰石、及非塑性高嶺石。然而,雲母或蛭石的粒子係適合的。已知雲母具有高彈性且在滑動特性、耐磨性、耐熱性等上極佳,且自很久以前已在各種領域中為工業上所利用的材料。在本發明中,為了使圓盤能夠與軸之熱膨脹一致,可添加雲母。在一圓盤輥中,由於軸11(圓盤12係如圖1所示地安裝於其上)係由一金屬製成,故此軸11在暴露至高溫時熱膨脹並在軸向方向上延伸。在此狀況下,由於圓盤12具有比金屬低的熱膨脹係數,故圓盤12不可與軸11之伸長一致並被彼此分離。另一方面,具有一由極薄層組成之分層結構的雲母在加熱時釋放結晶水以經受結晶改質。具有了此結晶改質,雲母傾向於在層之厚度方向上膨脹。此在層厚度方向上的膨脹增強圓盤12與軸11之熱膨脹的一致性。

)、鈉雲母、鋰雲母或一合成氟化雲母作為雲母。然而,自增強一致性之功能的觀點來看,在約600℃(亦即,一低於熔融玻璃之表面溫度的溫度)下釋放結晶水的白雲母係較佳的。
雲母之平均粒子直徑可為5-500 μm,且較佳為100-300 μm,更佳為200-300 μm。當雲母具有一在該範圍內的平均粒子直徑時,其係高度彈性的且因此有效地起板彈簧的作用以儲存由與其他複合材料(詳言之,無機纖維)壓縮所產生的應力。因此,可進一步增強與軸之熱膨脹的一致性。
蛭石通常含有結晶水,且在暴露至高溫時脫水。即,其作用類似起泡劑。因此,較佳使用已預先在(例如)600-900℃下煅燒的蛭石。蛭石之平均粒子直徑如在雲母中一樣,較佳為5-500 μm。
雲母及蛭石可單獨或組合使用。
無機纖維不受限制,只要其具有800-900℃之結晶溫度。無機纖維之實例包括描述於JP-A-2000-220037、JP-A-2002-68777、JP-A-2003-73926、及JP-A-2003-212596中的無機纖維。無機纖維之特定實例包括:其中SiO2
及CaO的總含量為85質量%或高於85質量%,且含有0.5-3.0質量%之MgO及2.0-8.0質量%之P2
O5
並具有根據德國危險物質條例(German Hazardous Substances Regulations)所確定的致癌性指標(KI值)40或高於40的無機纖維;包含作為必需組份之SiO2
、MgO、及TiO2
的無機纖維;包含作為必需組份之SiO2
、MgO、及氧化錳的無機纖維;包含52-72質量%之SiO2

的無機纖維。此等無機纖維材料可單獨使用或作為其兩者或兩者以上之一混合物使用。無機纖維之結晶溫度可用一微差熱分析儀(DTG-50,由Shimadzu Corp.製造)藉由檢查纖維的可歸因於結晶之放熱峰值來確定。
在該等無機纖維材料中,如藉由下文所示之方法所確定,具有1%或高於1%的生理食鹽水中之溶解度的無機纖維材料被稱為“生物可溶纖維”,且其在本發明中尤其較佳。
解釋一種確定無機纖維在生理食鹽水中之溶解度的方法。首先,將1 g的藉由將無機纖維粉碎為200網目粉末而製備的樣本及150 mL的生理食鹽水引入至一錐形瓶(300 mL)中。將此錐形瓶置放於一40℃的恆溫箱中。隨後,將錐形瓶以120 rpm的旋轉速度水平地連續搖動50小時。在搖動之後,將混合物過濾,且所得濾液係藉由ICP發射光譜學來分析以確定其中所含有之矽、鎂、鈣及鋁元素的濃度(mg/L)。生理食鹽水中之溶解度C(%)係使用下文之方程式(1)而由元素的濃度以及溶解之前在無機纖維中之元素的含量(質量%)計算。關於藉由ICP發射光譜學所獲得的元素濃度,將矽元素之濃度表示為a1(mg/L),將鎂元素之濃度表示為a2(mg/L),將鈣元素之濃度表示為a3(mg/L),且將鋁元素之濃度表示為a4(mg/L)。關於溶解之前在無機纖維中的元素含量,將矽元素之含量表示為b1(質量%),將鎂元素之含量表示為b2(質量%),將鈣元素之含量表示為b3(質量%),且將鋁元素之含量表示為b4(質量%)。

無機纖維之大小不受特定限制。然而,自待生產之圓盤輥之強度的觀點來看,無機纖維較佳為具有1-5 μm、較佳3-5 μm之平均纖維直徑及0.5-200 mm、較佳1-20 mm之纖維長度的無機纖維。
黏土、填充劑、及無機纖維可以下文之比例混合。黏土的比例為基於基材之總量的5-55質量%,較佳為20-40質量%。填充劑的比例為基於基材之總量的5-60質量%,較佳為20-55質量%。無機纖維的比例為基於基材之總量的5-40質量%,較佳為20-30質量%。當以此等比例混合成份時,獲得一保持耐熱性、耐磨性、及可撓性之良好平衡組合的圓盤輥。
為了生產圓盤輥用之基材,可利用一種方法,其中藉由一紙張製造方法而將含有黏土、填充劑、及無機纖維之含水漿料形成為一板形狀並乾燥此板。此方法係較佳的,因為其有效。在此操作中,可將諸如一助凝劑、有機纖維、及有機黏合劑之類的成份以一給定量併入至含水漿料中。助凝劑、有機纖維、及有機黏合劑每一者皆可為已知者。
在將生物可溶纖維用作無機纖維的狀況下,較佳將形成一塗層(諸如,磷酸鹽、鉬化合物、鋅化合物、聚脒化合物、或伸乙亞胺化合物)的物質併入至含水漿料中,以抑制纖維溶解於水中。自滿意地塗佈全部生物可溶纖維的觀點來看,待併入之塗佈形成物質的量較佳為基於黏土、填充劑、及生物可溶纖維之和的0.1-10質量%,更佳為0.3-6質量%。
用於形成一塗層之物質的實例包括無機化合物(諸如,磷酸鹽、鉬化合物、及鋅化合物)及有機化合物(諸如,聚脒化合物、及伸乙亞胺化合物)。磷酸鹽之實例包括三聚磷酸鋁、三聚磷酸二氫鋁、偏磷酸鋁、磷酸鋅、及磷酸鈣。鉬化合物之實例包括鉬酸鋅、鉬酸鋁、鉬酸鈣、磷鉬酸鈣、及磷鉬酸鋁。鋅化合物之實例包括氧化鋅。聚脒化合物之實例包括丙烯醯胺、丙烯腈、N-乙烯基丙烯基脒鹽酸鹽、N-乙烯基丙烯醯胺、乙烯胺鹽酸鹽、及N-乙烯基甲醯胺共聚物。伸乙亞胺化合物之實例包括胺基乙烯及二甲基亞胺。
圓盤輥用之基材的厚度可被適當地調節,且可與迄今所使用的厚度相同。總之,基材之厚度為2-10 mm。
本發明進一步提供一種使用自上文所描述的圓盤輥用之基材切下之圓盤的圓盤輥。圓盤輥可具有圖1所示之構造,該構造可以下文之方式獲得。環狀圓盤12係自上文所描述的圓盤輥用之基材衝壓出。將此等圓盤12藉由插入而安裝於一由一金屬(例如,鐵)製成的軸11上以獲得一輥型堆疊。整個堆疊經由分別在兩端上的凸緣13而被壓縮,且將處於此緊密壓縮狀態中的此等圓盤12用螺母15或其類似物固定。其後,圓盤12之周邊經研磨以形成一給定輥直徑,以藉此獲得一圓盤輥10。
在本發明之圓盤輥10中,一表面層部分中的無機纖維在與一熔融玻璃接觸時結晶,同時燒結黏土。結果,表面層部分變得具有一比僅發生了黏土燒結之部分高的硬度及較佳的耐磨性。另外,表面層變得具有增強之熱絕緣特性,且因此,熔融玻璃之熱量較不易於轉移至內部部分,藉此保持適度可撓性。具體言之,當將一10 kgf/cm之負載在800℃下強加於輥表面上時,圓盤輥具有0.05-0.3 mm之壓縮變形。
下文將參考實施例及比較實施例更詳細地解釋本發明,但本發明不應理解為限於該等實施例。
製備表1所示的含有原料之含水漿料。將每一漿料藉由一普通紙張製造方法而形成為薄片以生產一薄片形式之圓盤輥基材,其具有在乾燥的基礎上為100 mm×100 mm×6 mm的尺寸。無機纖維A為鋁矽酸鹽纖維(SiO2
:Al2
O3
=(54-55重量%):(45-55重量%)),而無機纖維B為生物可溶纖維,其包含75-80質量%的SiO2
、19-25質量%的CaO+MgO、及1-3質量%的Al2
O3
,且具有860℃之結晶溫度及5.9%的40℃下之生理食鹽水中之溶解度。
具有80 mm之外徑及30 mm之內徑的圓盤被自圓盤輥用之基材之每一者衝壓出,且藉由插入而被安裝於一具有30 mm之直徑及100 mm之長度的鐵軸上。將每一圓盤堆疊的兩端用螺母固定,以產生一具有圖1所示之構造的圓柱形圓盤輥,且其中,圓盤具有1.2 g/cm3
的壓縮密度。將此圓盤輥在800℃的加熱爐中保持180分鐘,自加熱爐中取出,並接著置放於支架50上,以使得軸11的兩端係如圖3所示地支撐在支架50上。將一10 kgf/cm之負載強加於由圓盤12構成之輸送表面上,同時一壓痕器60以1 mm/分鐘的速率量測所得壓縮變形。所獲得之結果亦展示於表1中。
以相同方式生產的圓盤輥被以下文之方式對於耐磨性進行評估。將每一圓盤輥在800℃的加熱爐中保持180分鐘。其後,使輥以10 rpm旋轉且摩擦一由SUS製成的摩擦材料。測量因摩擦而減小的輥之半徑的量為一耐磨性指標。
此外,以相同方式生產的圓盤輥被安裝在一具有圖2所示之構造的玻璃板生產裝置中。此裝置被用以實際生產一玻璃板。所獲得之玻璃板的表面對於損傷以目測檢查。
彼等檢查之結果亦展示於表1中。
表1展示下文之內容。藉由併入結晶溫度為800-900℃的無機纖維,可獲得具有實際上令人滿意的耐熱性及耐磨性且具有防止圓盤輥損傷玻璃表面之適度可撓性的圓盤輥。
雖然已參考本發明之特定具體例且詳細描述了本發明,但熟悉本技藝者將易瞭解可在不脫離本發明之精神及範疇的情況下在其中進行各種變化及修改。
