1374168 九、發明說明: 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明關於一種以二氧化鈦為基礎的含碳的光催化 ^匕在可見光的範圍係為光活性者,以下稱為v 1 p-T i 02。 本發明另外關於一種製造一種含碳之二氧化鈦 Ti〇2)的方法,它用可見光照射時呈光催化劑的作用。 【先前技術】
光催化劑材料為半導體,其中,在光作用下產生電子 -電洞配對 Elektron-Loch-paar,g:electron_hole- pa i r ),這些配對在材料表面產生高反應性的自由基。二 氧化欽為一種此類半導體,人們知道,二氧化鈦可藉用紫 外線照射將空氣與水中的自然及人造雜質除去,其方式係 將空氣氧還原並將雜質氧化成對環境無害的終產物(礦物 化)。此外,二氧化鈦表面由於吸收紫外線而變得超親水 性。因此在鏡子及窗子上施薄的二氧化鈦膜可以有抗凝水 霧(Antibeschlag)的性質。 二氧化欽的一嚴重缺點為,它只能利用陽光的紫外線 成份’換言之,只有其輻射線的3〜4%,且在擴散的陽光 中甚至沒有催化活性或只有很弱的催化活性。 因此人們長時以來一直研究將二氧化鈦改質 (modif izieren),使它也能利用具光化學效果的陽光的主 要成份 可見光譜範圍,從約400〜700奈米——以產 生上述現象。 使Ti 〇2變成對陽光呈光催化活性的一途徑,係用金屬 5 ⑧ 丄丄
離子,如 V、Pt、Cl·、F e寻穋雜(Dotieren)。另一方式係 藉著在Ti 02結晶格中脾τ · 4+、s = 將Τι還原以產生缺少氧原子的空位 Ϊ H方式或需要繁複的製造技術如離子植入或電浆 許夕專利提到氧改質的二氧化鈦’它在可見光範圍 照射時有光催化作用(例如歐洲專利Ερ ! 17請! Μ ' Ερ丄 254 863 A1)。 此外,習知技術也有利用碳改f,使得在用可見光照 射寺一氧化鈦的光催化活性提高。例如在曰本專利jp J丄 333304 A提到一種二氧化鈦,其表面至少有一層石墨無 疋形屄鑽石式故或經類的沈積物。歐洲專利EP 0997 191 A1有關於一種二氧化鈦的報告提到,將碳化鈦藉氣相析出 而施到二氧化鈦表面。而在EP 1 205 244 A1與EP 1 205 245 A1中提到光催化材料,其中二氧化鈦含有氮、硫、碳或其 他的7C素作為陰離子。陰離子要位在多結晶二氧化鈦粒子 的氧位置、中間格位置、或在顆粒界限上。其中未提到該 材料的特性或催化或物理性質。 此外也有習知技術將欽醇鹽酸水解,然後加熱到3 5 0 C製造一氧化鈦,該二氧化鈦含有碳丨.〇〜I.?%重量[c.
Lettmann 等人,Applied Catalysis B 32 (2001 ) 215]。 該欽來自鈦化合物的配位子(配位基)(Li gan(j)。 依另一發表文獻發現將回氣化鈦用四丁基氫氧化錄水 解,然後在4001煅燒一小時產生一種二氧化鈦製劑,它 含 0.42%重量的碳(s. Sakthive 與 H. Kisch,Angew. Chem.
Int. Ed. 42 (2003) 4908)]。在此情形該碳來自沈澱劑, 1374168 且大概相對地均勾地分佈在該體積中(體積推雜)。 入這些習用光催化材料的缺點在於:其製造方法並不適 合大工程製造。基於工程技術理由,這些程序或無法轉變 成大規模者’或者即使轉成大規模也不再符合經濟效益。 此外,所得的產品在又^ 4〇〇奈米的可見光範圍將有害物 質分解時’它<門大部分的光傕化活性顯得不&,且親水性 ,、又光誘導小小地提高。此外這些產物至今以來只就其光 催化性質最佳化。帛色與亮度--亦即光學性質,至今仍 .不受注意。反之,在所有的應用〔它們不容許或只容許該 vlp-Ti〇2有很少的自身顏色,例如用於塗覆物,特別是在 油漆、真漆及表漆(Putzen)中時〕,使用具有很少的自身 顏色及高光催化活性的一種很亮的vlp_Ti〇2則有一些優 點,即:vlp-Ti〇2不會有或只有很少的自身顏色。 【發明内容】 本發明的目的在提供一種以一種用碳改質的二氧化鈦 為基礎的,對自然光有活性之高效率的光催化劑,以及其 一種經濟的製造方法。 依本發明,這種目的係利用一種含碳的二氧化鈦vlp_ Ti〇2達成,它對於2 400奈米範圍的光的吸收比起純二氧 化欽來要強得多,其電子旋轉共振 (Elektronenspinresonanz)的光譜(ESR)在 5。I(測量,在 g值為1.97〜2. 05時,只有一明顯的信號。此外這種目的 還利用一種製造方法達成,其令將一種鈦化合物〔其比表 面積依 BET(Brunauer-EmmeU-Teller)至少 50 平方米 /克〕 1374168 .與帛3碳化合物密切混合,並將此混合物在高可達4〇〇 的溫度作熱處理。本發明的其他有利特點見於中請 範圍附屬項。 * · 〔產物〕 本發月的vlp_Tl()2的光催化效率比先前技術所述之類 费要將此光催化效率(以下稱「光活性」)作量化表示, 係採取4氯㈣用_^量之WpTi()2用波長$ 455奈米的 光作120刀照射而分解的情形。以下詳細說明其測量方法。 •在上述測量條件下,本發明的vlp_Ti〇2的光活性至少⑽, 且宜至少40%,尤其宜為至少5〇%。 厌3里(相對於Tl02)在〇. 〇5〜4%重量範圍,且宜〇. 〇5 〜2.0%重量,太’皆· 1 cn/&曰 里尤且〇.3〜1.5%重直。最佳的結果係在碳含 量0.4〜0.8%重量達成者。 一氧化鈦粒子只有在一表面層含碳,且因此在以下稱 石厌改質」者——以與依Sakhivel與Kisch(2003)所製之 _全體積都摻碳的二氧化欽區別。本發明的vip Ti〇2的碳或 碳化合物據猜測主要用共價鍵經由氧結合在^〇2表面且可 用驗溶出。 該光催化劑另外可含氮。 與未改質的Ti〇2不同,本發明的vlp—Ti〇2吸收波長 .g 400奈米的可見光。在此,該庫貝卡-蒙克函數 • (Kubelka-Munk-FUnkti〇n) FRM)(它與吸收成正比)在 5〇〇 奈米約為400奈米時的值的5〇%,在6〇〇奈米時約為4〇〇 奈米時的值的20%。 ⑧ 8 1374168 本發明的▽1〇-1402的電子旋轉共振(ESR)的光譜(在5 。K測量)的特點為在g值為2 〇〇2〜2. 05的範圍中,不會 產生另外的信號《在g約2. 〇〇3時,信號的強度利用波長 2380奈米的光(UV-自由的1〇〇瓦鹵素燈,冷光濾光器KG 5) 照射’比起在黑暗時測量時更強。 本發明的vlp-Ti〇2的X光的光電子光譜(xps)的特點 為發生鍵結能量285. 6eV的強吸收帶狀光譜〔相對於〇ls_ 帶(Ols-Bande)的 530eV〕。 此外的一特點為,該vlp-Ti02不同於Sakthivel & 〖13(±(2003)的光催化劑不同,在义光的光電子光譜(^§) 及在紅外線光譜中都不會呈現碳酸鹽的帶狀光譜。 在用可見光照射之下,該vlp_Ti〇2的水接觸角度 (wasser-Kontaktwinkel)約8。,而未改質的的接觸 角度約21 ° 。 此新穎光催化劑可使有害物質不但可用人工可見光分
解,而且也可用散射之室内之自然光(白天光)分解。它 可用於分解液體或氣體巾(特別是水與空氣中)的雜質及 有害物質。 該光催化劑可有利地呈薄層方式施到不同之載體,如 玻璃(普通破璃或鑛以水銀之類的反射鐘層者)、木材、 纖維m凝土、建材、Si02、金屬、紙及塑膠。如 此不但製造簡+,而且在許多方面都可利用,例如在建築 工業、陶兗工業與汽車工業以作自淨的表面,或者用於環 "兄工程(空調裝置,用於將空氣淨化消毒的裝置,及水淨
9 1374168 化’特別是飲水’例如用於抗細菌及抗病毒的目的)。 · 此光催化劑可用室内及室外範圍的塗覆,例如:油漆' • · 粉刷(Putzen)、真漆、及透明顏料(Lasuren)以用於施覆 - 於建築物粉刷表面、漆膜(Amstrich)、壁紙(Tapet)、以 及木材、金屬、玻璃或陶瓷表面或施構件上,例如隔熱之 複合材料系統及懸掛之前展示面(Fassa(je)元件,以及用 於道路鋪設物及塑膠、塑膠臈、纖維、以及紙。此外,該 φ光催化劑可使用來生產混凝土製件、混凝土鋪塊(Beton-
Pflasterstein)、屋瓦(Dachziegel)、陶瓷、鋪砌片 (Fllesen)、壁紙、布 '鑲板(panel)、及室内室外範圍天 花板與牆壁用的覆蓋元件。 利用光誘導將Ti〇2表面的親水性提高,可作其他的應 用,如在衛生設備範圍或在汽車及建築工業,以使鏡面及 窗子不會凝水霧。 解 此外該光催化劑適用於使用在光伏特電池及作水裂 第9圖詳細說明 本發明以下配合第1 【實施方式】 第1圖顯示未改質的Ti〇2與用碳改質的Ti〇2(vlpTi〇2: 之與相對吸收成比例的KubeIka_Munk函數F(D,它係1 長的函數,且可看出該vlp_Ti〇2與未改質之二氧化鈦不 同’它在可見光譜範圍會吸收,R〇〇)在5〇〇奈米時約為· 2時的值的5。%,在600奈米時約為·奈米時的值的 1374168 第2圖顯示本發明的vlp_Ti〇2(光譜A)及依Sakthivei & Kisch所製的Tl〇2(光譜B)的電子共振光譜(esr),它們 係在黑暗中在5 κ的溫度攝影。光譜A只在居值2剛時 顯示明顯的信號。光譜B除了在g值約2 〇〇3的主信號外, 還在g值1.97〜2.05範圍另外有三個信號。 第3圖顯示本發明的vlp_Ti〇2(光譜A)與依Sakthivei 與K1SCh之用四丁基氫氧化銨從四氯化鈦沈澱的已知的 Τι〇2(光譜B)的X光—光電子光譜(xps)❶vlp_Ti〇2的光譜, 在鍵結能285.6eV時相對於在530eV的〇is吸收帶有一明 貝的C1 s彳5號,該信號指示元素碳。而光譜b則顯示在 284.5eV的鍵結能處顯示元素碳的Cls—信號,另外還有在 289.4eV及294.8eV處的光譜帶,它們表示碳酸鹽。又, 對應的IR-光譜在1738、1 096及798cm-1處顯示典型的碳 酸鹽光譜帶。 第4圖顯示當將4-氣苯(呈2.5x1 〇_4莫耳水溶液形式) 利用人工可見光455奈米)分解時,vlp_Ti〇2與未改質_ Ti〇2的光催化效率。其中顯示出溶液中有機碳總含量(T〇Ct) 係與起始值(TOC。)成比例減少。利用v iP_Ti〇2在3小時後 完全分解。 第5圖顯示當用内部空間的擴散白天光將4氣酚(呈 2.5xl〇4莫耳水溶液形式)分解時,vipTi〇2與未改質的 Τι 〇2的光催化效率。其中顯示在溶液中的有機碳總含量 (T0Ct)與起始值(t〇C。)成比例減少。即使在強度很弱的擴 散之白天光下(在400〜1200奈米範圍7〜1〇w/平方米)該 ⑧ 11 1374168

該起始鈦化合物與該有機碳化物密切混合,其方式使 得起始鈦化合物表面覆以該碳合物。在此,該有機碳化合 物可呈物理方式或化學方式吸收在起始鈦化合物的表面而 存在《起始鈦化合物的表面施覆作用可藉著將碳化合物溶 解在起始鈦化合物的懸浮液中或將碳化合物的懸浮液與起 始鈦化合物的懸浮液混合而達成。同樣地,也可將碳化合 物與一種事先乾燥過的粉末狀起始鈦化合物密集混合。在 使用鈦水合物的場合’該碳化合物也可在製造該鈦水合物 時就混到該要水合的溶液中。在該由起始鈦化合物與碳化 物之完成的混合物中,碳化合物的量〔相對於起始鈦化合 物(呈固體形式)〕為1〜40%重量。 如果製成的混合物呈懸浮液形式,則它可在進一步加 工前乾燥成粉末狀固體。為此可用習知方法如喷灑乾燥或 旋風層乾燥。 製成的(且可能預乾燥過的)混合物在最多40(TC的 1374168 ,度作熱處理。此熱處理在氧化性大氣中且宜在空氣中或 氧空氣混合物中進行。在此,有機磁卟入从 人 頁機碳化合物在起始鈦化 ::的表面上分解’並釋“2〇、c〇2及c〇。雖然此熱處理 可用不連續的批次㈣,例如在—習用的實驗室爐 (Ub〇rofen)中進行’但基於經濟理由仍宜用連續程序 习’其中進行-定的溫度廓形曲線。連續的程序可用各種 習用程序,只要能做到對應的溫度廓形及所需的駐留時間

a)測定光學值(PLV-測試) 此方法用於求出該vlp-Ti〇2的這些光學值:亮度、 色調a*及色調b*。由所要測試的vip-Ti〇2在一定的條件 下’利用MATRA公司(法蘭克福)的一種油壓式小壓機製造。 然後利用HUNTERLABTristimulus色度計在該粉末壓機上 測定減輕(Remi ss i on)值。 在該壓述(Pressling)製造之前將此vlp-Ti〇2磨碎。 為此將100克所得之vlp-Ti〇2加入一個習用的搜拌器(製 造商:Braun,Midell:Mx2050)並磨粉12次每次5秒。在 各次磨粉步驟之間,將該攪拌器打開,並將粉末再次均勻 混合。將一張紙(其兩側為晦暗及白色者)放到一個具圓形 凹陷部的底板上,並用該壓機時將一金屬環(高度4cm,直 徑2· 4cm)壓入該凹陷部中。大約25克之所磨的vlp-〇2在 輕輕震動及拍打的情形下加入該金屬環中。利用2〜3kN 的壓力將該粉末壓縮。此加壓過程重覆第二次,直到達到 所想要的操作壓力15kN為止。將金屬環小心地轉動與拉 動,將它從底板分離。將底板與環之間的紙拿掉。此時環 (§: 21 1374168 中有一壓坯,它用於在HUNTERLAB色度計上作測量過程β 測量值L *、a *、b *直接在色度計上讀出。 b)測定光活塞(有害物質分解) 〈在人工可見光中〉:
