Abstract

Invenţia se referă la un procedeu economic pentru obţinerea zaharurilor prin hidroliza biomasei cu acid sulfuric concentrat. Celuloza şi hemiceluloza din biomasă sunt iniţial decristalizate şi apoi hidrolizate, producând un hidrolizat care conţine atât zaharuri, cât şi acid. Silicea prezentă poate fi obţinută prin prelucrare ulterioară. Solidele remanente sunt apoi supuse unei a doua decristalizări şi hidrolizări, pentru a optimiza randamentele zahărului. Este descrisă şi o metodă pentru separarea zaharurilor de acidul din hidrolizat. Curentul de zahăr obţinut poate fi apoi fermentat pe baza unei metode care permite fermentarea împreună, a zaharurilor pantozice şi hexozice.
