Abstract
Et flerlags belegg for generell beskyttelse av metaller og legeringer mot oksidasjon ved høye temperaturer tilveiebringes. Oppfinnelsen anvender et flerlags keramisk belegg på metaller eller legeringer for økt oksidasjonsresistens, omfattende i det minste to lag, hvori det første lag (3) som vender mot den metallholdige overflate og det andre lag som vender mot den omgivende atmosfære (4) begge omfatter et oksid, og hvori det første lag (3) har en tracer diffusjonskoeffisient for kationer Mm+, hvor M er det glødeskalldannende element av legeringen; og det andre lag (4) har en tracer diffusjonskoeffisient for oksygenioner O2- som tilfredsstiller den anførte formel hvor p(O2)in er oksygenpartialtrykket i likevekt mellom det metalliske substrat og MaOb, p(O2)ex er oksygenpartialtrykket i reaksjonsatmosfæren, DM er tracer diffusjonskoeffisienten av metallkationene Mm+ i det første lag (3), og DO er O2- tracer diffusjonskoeffisienten i det andre lag (4). Belegget kan anvendes i høytemperatur innretninger, spesielt for belegging av kopling ("interconnect") materialer i fast oksid elektrolyttiske innretninger, inklusive fast oksid brenselcelle (SOFC) og fast oksid elektrolyseceller (SOEC).
