Se provee una técnica para mejorar la estabilidad de un derivado halogenado de isoquinolina con respecto a la luz en una composición acuosa; una preparación farmacéutica obtenida al almacenar una composición acuosa que comprende un compuesto representado por la Fórmula (1): (ver Fórmula) en donde X representa un átomo de halógeno, o una sal del mismo, o un solvato del compuesto o la sal del mismo, en un envase que bloquea un rayo con una longitud de onda de 300 a 335 nm.
