Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a un catalizador general de alta actividad y selectividad para la producción de una variedad de ésteres, particularmente ésteres basados en acrilato y metacrilato, mediante una reacción de transesterificación. Este objetivo es llevado a cabo por reacción de un éster de un ácido carboxílico o un carbónico, en particular de uno saturado o insaturado, típicamente, de átomos de ácido carboxílico de 3 a 4 carbonos; con un alcohol en presencia de un catalizador que comprende la combinación de un complejo metálico de 1,3-dicarbonilo (preferentemente acetilacetona de Zn o Fe) y una sal, en particular una sal inorgánica, prefeferentemente ZnCl2, LiCl, NaC, NH4Cl o LiI. Estos catalizadores se preparan a partir de materiales de inicio fácilmente disponibles con reacción media sin la necesidad de aislamiento (preparación in-situ).
