Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la deposición galvánica de revestimientos de zinc y aleaciones de zinc a partir de un baño de revestimiento alcalino con una degradación reducida de aditivos orgánicos del baño. Se utiliza a manera del ánodo un electrodo que contiene manganeso metálico y/u óxido de manganeso y que es insoluble en el baño, y se produce a partir de manganeso metálico o una aleación que contiene manganeso, la aleación que contiene manganeso comprende al menos un 5 % en peso de manganeso, o se produce a partir de un sustrato electroconductor y un recubrimiento que contiene manganeso metálico y/u óxido de manganeso aplicado al mismo, o se produce a partir de un material compuesto, tanto con el manganeso metálico y/o recubrimiento que contiene óxido de manganeso y el material compuesto que comprende al menos un 5 % en peso de manganeso, basándose en la cantidad total de manganeso resultante del manganeso metálico y óxido de manganeso. El método según la invención es particularmente adecuado para la deposición galvánica de revestimientos de aleaciones de zinc-níquel a partir de baños alcalinos de zinc-níquel, ya que la formación de cianuros puede inhibirse de manera muy eficaz.
