Se describen aleaciones de aluminio de alta resistencia y métodos para fabricarlas y procesarlas. Más en particular, se describe una aleación de aluminio de la serie 6XXX que muestra cualidades de resistencia mecánica, formabilidad, resistencia a la corrosión y anodización mejoradas. Un método de ejemplo incluye homogeneización, laminado en caliente, solubilización y temple. En algunos casos, las etapas de procesamiento además pueden incluir recocido y/o laminado en frío.
