Abstract
Se proporciona una lente oftálmica la cual puede ser usada de manera más segura que las lentes oftálmicas convencionales. Es decir, se proporciona un monómero novedoso, y este monómero es un material o materia prima que es transparente, altamente permeable al oxígeno y altamente hidrofílico. El monómero es un monómero de polisiloxano hidrofílico que contiene polioxietileno como una cadena lateral hidrofílica sobre la cadena principal de polisiloxano. La transparencia, permeabilidad al oxígeno y propiedad hidrofílica son controladas ajustando la longitud de la cadena principal del polisiloxano, la longitud de la cadena lateral del polioxietileno hidrofílico, y el número de los mismos contenidos.
