Abstract

본 발명은, 자동차에 탑재된 내연기관의 배개로에 잠착되는 배기가스정화장치에 관한 것으로서, 특히 내연기관의 배기로에 배설되어서 내연기관의 운전개시초기의 배기가스정화를 행하는 전단계촉매와, 이전단계촉매의 후방에 배설되고 린 NOX촉매를 함유한 후단계촉매와, 전단계촉매를 우회하는 동시에 후단계촉매의 상류쪽에서 배기로에 합유하는 바이패스로와, 이 바이패스로 및 전단계촉매에 각각 유입하는 배기가스유량을 제어하는 절환밸브와, 내연기관의 운전상태에 따라서 절환밸브에 소정개방도의 제어신호를 출력하는 제어수단을 가지도록 되어있다.
본 발명에 의하면, 배기로상의 전단계촉매와 그 후방에 적어도 일부에 린 NOX촉매를 가진 후단계촉매를 배설하고, 내연기관은 운전상태에 따라서 배기가스의 유로를 바이패스로쪽으로 절환하여 제어하므로써, 각 촉매의 정화효율이나 내구성을 충분히 유지한다.

제1도는 본 발명의 일실시예로서의 자동차의 배기가스정화장치의 전체구성도, 제2도(a)는 제1도의 배기가스 정화장치의 개략도, 제2도(b)는 본 발명의 다른 실시예로서의 배기가스정화장치의 개략도, 제3도는 제1도의 배기가스정화장치의 ECU가 사용하는 대기시간 산출맵의 륙성선도.

Claims (13)

  1. 내연기관의 배기로(2)에 내연기관에 접근해서 배설되고 상기 내연기관의 운전시동초기의 배기가스정화를 행하는 전단계촉매(9)와, 이 전단계촉매의 후방에 배설되고 린 NOX촉매(22)를 함유한 후단계촉매(10)와, 상기 전단계촉매르 우회하는 동시에 후단계촉매의 상류쪽에서 상기 배기통로에 함유하는 바이패스로(202)와, 이 바이패스로 및 전단계촉매에 각각 유입하는 배기가스유량을 제어하는 절환밸브(11)와, 상기 내연기관의 운전상태에 따라서 절환밸브에 소정개방도의 제어신호를 출력하는 제어수단(3),(3′),(3″)을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 후단계 촉매(10)가 배기흐름방행을 따라서 린 NOX촉매(22)과, 이 하류쪽에 배설된 3원촉매(23)로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3)은 엔진정지판정수단(a2)을 구비하고, 이 엔진정지판정수단에 의해서 엔진정지라고 판정하였을 때에 상기 절환밸브를 상기 바이패스로를 개방하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3)은 상기 내연기관의 워밍업의 완료를 판정하는 워밍업완료 판정수단(a7,a8,a9)을 구비하고, 이 워밍업완료 판정수단에 의해서 워밍없완료전이라고 판정하였을 경우에 상기 절환밸브를 상기 바이패스로를 폐쇄하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3)은 상기 전단계촉매의 활성완료를 판정하는 전단계촉매 활성판정수단(a14),(a14′)과, 상기 후단계촉매의 활성완료를 판정하는 후단계촉매 활성판정수단(a13)을 구비하고, 상기 전단계촉매활성 판정수단에 의해서 전단계촉매가 활성완료로 판정되고, 또 상기 후단계촉매활성 판정수단에 의해서 후단계촉매가 활성상태에 있지 않다고 판정되었을 때에, 상기 절환밸브를 중간개방도로 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3′)은 린운전영역판정수단(b7)은 구비하고, 이 린운전영역 판정수단에 의해서 엔진의 린운전시에 상기 절환밸브를 상기 바이패스로를 개방하는 위치에 제어하고, 린운전시이외에 상기 절환벨브를 상기 전단계촉매에 배기가스를 유입하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3)은 엔진의 시동개시 지점이후의 경과시간에 따라서 상기 절환밸브이 개방도를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바이패스로가 제1바이패스로(202)이고, 상기 절환밸브가 제1절환 밸브(11)이고, 또 상기 후단계촉매의 린 NOX촉매를 위회해서 상기 배기로의 합유하는 제2바이패스로(32)와, 이 제2바이패스로 혹은 상기 린 NOX촉매에 유입하는 배기가스유량을 제어하는 제2절환벨브(27)를 구비하고, 상기 제어수단(3″)이 상기 제1, 제2절환밸브의 개방돌르 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3″)은 린운전영역판정수단(C22)을 구비하고, 이 린운전영역 판정수단에 의해서 엔진의 린운전시에 상기 제1절환밸브를 상기 제1바이패스로를 개방하는 위치에 제어하고, 상기 제2절환밸브를 상기 제2바이패스로를 폐쇄하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  10. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(3″)은 엔진정지 판정수단(C2)을 구비하고, 이 엔지정지 판정수단에 의해서 엔진정지라고 판정하였을 때에 상기 제1절환밸브를 상기 제1바이패스로를 개방하는 위치로 하고, 상기 제2절환밸브를 상기 제2바이패스로를 폐쇄하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  11. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 린 NOX촉매온도 또는 그 근처의 배기온도를 검출하는 후단계촉매 온도센서(25)를 구비하고, 상기 제어수단(3′)은 상기 후단계온도센서의 검출치가 소정치 이상일때에 상기 제2질환밸브를 상기 제2바이패스로를 개방하는 위치에 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 재기가스정화장치.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 절환밸브를 구동하는 에어작동기(14)를 구비하고, 이 에어작동기는 부압실(141)고, 상기 절환밸브에 연결되는 다이어프램(142)과, 이 다이어프램을 압압하는 리턴스프링(143)으로 이루어지고, 상기 부압실의 부압을 강화해서 상기 리턴스트링에 대항하여 상기 바이패스로를 폐쇄하도록 작동하고, 또 상기 제어수단으로부터의 제어신호에 의해서 상기 부압실에의 부압의 급배를 행하는 개폐밸브를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 개폐밸브는 엔진정지시 또는 제어신호가 입력되지 않을 때에는 상기 부압실을 대기 해방하고, 상기 절환밸브는 상기 리턴스프링힘에 의해서 상기 바이패스로를 개방하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스정화장치.
