Abstract

본 발명의 액정 표시장치는 액정조성물을 협지하는 일측의 전극이 투광구몽 또는 투광용 슬릿을 가지는 차광성 도전체로 구성하므로써, 최소한 금속인 인듐(In)의 사용량을 줄이고 또 양호한 광투과율을 확보할 수 있는 효과가 있는 액정표시장치이다.

제1도는 본 발명의 제1실시예로서 액정표시장치의 매트릭스 어레이 기판의 개략 정면도,
제2도는 제1도에 있어서의 AA'선을 따라서 절단한 제1실시예의 액정표시장치의 개략 단면도,
제3도는 제1도에 있어서의 제1실시예의 액정표시장치의 제조공정을 나타낸 도면.

Claims (6)

  1. 제1전극이 형성된 제1전극기판과, 제2전극이 형성된 제2전극기판과, 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극과의 사이에 유지된 액정조성물을 구비하고, 상기 제1전극과 제2전극의 교차부분을 표시전극으로 하는 액정표시장치에 있어서, 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극 중 적어도 일측의 표시화소를 구성하는 전극은 투광구멍을 가지는 투광성 도전체를 구비하고 있는 것을 특징으로 한 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1전극과 제2전극중 적어도 일측의 전극은 투광구멍을 가지는 투광성 도전체와 상기 투광성 도전체보다도 고정하으이 투명저항체를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하느 액정표시장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1전극위에는 제1방향으로 러빙처리가 된 제1배향막이 설치되며, 상기 제1전극의 상기 투광구멍은 상기 제1방향과 적어도 2변의 평행하게 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한 액정표시장치.
  4. 제1전극이 형성된 제1전극기판과, 제2전극이 형성된 제2전극기판과, 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극과의 사이에 유지된 액정조성물을 구비하고, 상기 제1전극과 제2전극의 교차부분을 표시전극으로 하는 액정표시장치에 있어서, 상기 제1의 표시화소를 구성하는 전극과 상기 제2전극 중 적어도 이측의 전극은 투광용 슬릿을 가지는 차광성 도전체를 구비하고 있는 것을 특징으로 한 액정표시장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제1전극과 제2전극중 적어도 일측의 전극은 투광용 슬릿을 가지는 차광성 도전체와 상기 차광성 도전체보다도 고저항의 투명저항체를 구비한 것을 특징으로 한 액정표시장치.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 제1전극위에는 제1방향으로 러빙처리가 된 제1배향막이 설치되며, 상기 제1전극의 상기 투광용 슬릿은 상기 제1방향과 대략 평행하게 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한 액정표시장치.
