제1도는 레늄을 함유한 본 발명의 촉매와 레늄을 함유하지 않은 촉매에 있어서 세슘 촉진제 농도에 대한 최적화된 초기 선택도를 나타내는 것으로 본 촉매에 의해 얻어진 향상된 초기 선택도를 설명한다.
제2도는 부가적인 촉진제(보조 촉진제)로서 황이나 황 화합물을 함유한 촉매에 의해 얻을 수 있는 더 증가된 선택도를 나탄낸다.

Claims (42)

  1. 에틸렌 및 산소로 부터 에틸렌 옥사이드를 촉매적으로 제조하는 조건하에서 조성물이 촉매적으로 효과적인 양의 은, 촉진양의 레늄이나 그 화합물 및 촉진양의 하나이상의 그외의 금속이나 그 화합물을 함유하도록 금속이나 화합물의 양을 선택하는 것을 특징으로 하는 은, 지지체, 레늄 및 하나 이상의 그외의 금속을 함유하는 조성물.
  2. 제2항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 알카리 금속, 알카리토 금속, 볼리브덴, 텅스텐, 크롬, 티탄, 하프늄, 지르코늄, 바나듐, 탈륨, 토륨, 탄탈륨, 니오륨, 칼륨 및 게르마늄으로부터 선택되는 조성물.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 알카리 토 금속인 조성물.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 마그네슘, 바륨 또는 칼슘인 조성물.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 알카리 금속인 조성물.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 칼륨, 루비듐이나 세슘인 조성물.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 세슘인 조성물.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 지지체가 20㎡/g 이하의 표면적을 갖는 조성물.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 지지체가 0.01-10㎡/g 의 표면적을 갖는 조성물.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 지지체가 0.05-5㎡/g 의 표면적을 갖는 조성물.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 지지체가 0.1-3㎡/g 의 표면적을 갖는 조성물.
  12. 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 지지체가 알파-알루미나인 조성물.
  13. 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 1-30중량%의 은을 함유하는 조성물.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 5-20중량%의 은을 함유하는 조성물.
  15. 제1항 내지 제14항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 은에 대한 레늄의 중량비가 1이하인 조성물.
  16. 제1항 내지 제15항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 촉매 1kg당 0.01-15밀리몰의 레늄을 함유하는 조성물.
  17. 제1항 내지 제16항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 촉매 1kg당 0.2-5밀리몰의 레늄을 함유하는 조성물.
  18. 제1항 내지 제17항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 촉매의 중량을 기준으로 금속으로서 계산된 10-3000ppm 의 그외의 금속이나 금속 화합물을 함유하는 조성물.
  19. 제1항 내지 제18항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 촉매의 중량을 기준으로 금속으로서 계산된 50-100ppm의 그외의 금속이나 금속 화합물을 함유하는 조성물.
  20. 제1항 내지 제19항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 황 함량이 촉매 1kg당 0.2-5밀리몰의 조성물.

  29. 제27항 또는 제28항에 있어서 그외의 금속이 알카리 금속인 촉매.
  30. 제29항에 있어서, 그외의 금속이 세슘인 촉매.
  31. 제27항 내지 제30항중 어느 하나에 있어서, 황을 부가로 함유하는 촉매.
  32. 제27항 내지 제30항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 은, 지지체 그리고 한편으로는 레듐이나 그 화합물 과 다른 한편으로는 그외의 금속이나 그 화합물로 부터 선택된 촉진제가 없거나 하나 있는 동일한 결합으로서의 동일한 반응 조건하에서 얻은 것보다 제공된 산소 전환 수준에서 에틸렌 옥사이드의 보다 높은 선택도를 제공하는촉매.
  33. 제32항에 있어서, 은, 지지체 그리고 한편으로는 레늄을 제외한 그외의 금속이나 그 화합물로 부터 선택된 촉진제와 동일한 결합으로서 동일한 반응 조건하에서 얻은 것보다 제공된 산소 전환 수준에서 에틸렌 옥사이드의 보다 높은 선택도를 제공하는촉매.
  34. 제27항 내지 제33항 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 은, 레늄 및 세슘을 함유하며 은, 지지체 및 세슘의 동일한 결합으로서 동일한 반응 조건하에서 얻은 것보다 제공된 산소 전환 수준에서 에틸렌 옥사이드로의 보다 높은 선택도를 제공하는촉매.
  35. 에틸렌을 제1항 내지 제34항 중 어느 하나에 청구된 촉매의 존재하에 산소와 반응시켜 에틸렌 옥사이드를 생산하는 방법.
  36. 지지체에 적절한 양의 은, 레늄, 그외의 금속과 임의적으로 황을 첨가하는 것으로 구성되는 제1항 내지 제34항중 어느 하나에 청구된 촉매를 제조하는 방법.
  37. 제36항에 있어서, 함침 단계를 더 부가하는 방법.
  38. 제37항에 있어서, 함침 단계가 동시에 수행되는 방법.
