Claims (13)
- 적어도 하나의 메인 챔버(10)와 적어도 하나의 보조 챔버(30)와 배출구(35)를 구비하고, 메인 챔버(10)와 보조 챔버(30)는 연결 개구부(14)에 의해서 서로 연결되며, 배출구(35)는 보조 챔버(30)에 배치되고, 에어백이 팽창되면 또는 에어백이 팽창되는 동안 보조 챔버(30)가 장애물을 만났을 때 배출구(35)를 통과하는 가스 흐름을 차단하거나 쓰로틀링(throttle)하는 폐쇄 요소가 구비되는, 자동차에 설치되기 위한 에어백으로서,에어백은 측면 에어백의 형태이며, 메인 챔버(10)는 흉부 챔버를 형성하고, 보조 챔버(30)는 메인 챔버의 상측 영역에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,골반 챔버(20)가 메인 챔버(10)의 하부 영역에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,보조 챔버(30)는 내부 직물층(32a)을 구비하는 내부 챔버(32)와, 외부 직물층(36a)를 구비하는 외부 챔버(36)를 구비하고,외부 직물층(36a)은 메인 챔버(10)의 직물(10a)과 일부가 연결되고, 외부 직물층(36a)과 메인 챔버(10)의 직물(10a)의 사이에 연결 개구부(14)가 배치되고,내부 직물층(32a)은 밸브 개구부(34)를 구비하고, 밸브 개구부를 통해 가스가 외부 챔버(36)로부터 내부 챔버(32)로 흐르고, 내부 챔버로부터 배출구(35)로 흐를 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,외부 직물층(36a)의 일 부분이 밸브 개구부(34)를 위한 폐쇄 요소로 기능하는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,보조 챔버들의 내부 직물층과 외부 직물층은 기본적으로 관상(管狀)인 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 2 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,폐쇄 요소는 덮개 직물(64)에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 2 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,두 개의 보조 챔버들(30a, 30b)이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,두 개의 보조 챔버들의 각각은 내부 직물층(55, 56)을 구비하고, 두 개의 내부 직물층들은 서로 반대측에 배치되고, 에어백이 완전히 팽창되었을 때 두 개의 내부 직물층들의 사이에 개방 중간층(62)이 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,두 개의 보조 챔버들은 외부 포착 테이프에 의해 서로 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,두 개의 보조 챔버들의 배출구들(35)은 중간 영역(62)에서 끝나는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,커버는 두 개의 직물 부분들로 제작되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,두 개의 외부 직물층들(51, 52)과, 두 개의 내부 직물층들(55, 56)이 구비되고, 모든 네 개의 직물층들은 연결 영역(57)에서 서로 접합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백.
