Claims (6)
- 화소가 매트릭스 형태로 배치된 표시부의 화면의 각 라인을, 각각의 라인에서의 화소의 주사 신호선에 주사 신호를 인가함에 의해 선택하여 상기 화면을 주사하고, 선택된 라인의 화소에 데이터 신호선으로부터 데이터 신호를 공급하여 표시를 행하는 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 화면을 주사하는 주사 기간과 주사 기간 사이에, 전 주사 신호선을 비주사 상태로 하는 휴지 기간을 제공하고, 이 휴지 기간에, 상기 표시부를 구동하기 위한 구동 회로의 구동을 2치로 이루어지는 구동제어신호를 사용하여 정지시키는 구동 제어 회로, 및데이터 신호를 상기 데이터 신호선에 받아들이기 위해 사용되는 클록 신호를 생성하는 클록 신호 생성 회로를 포함하며,상기 구동 제어 회로는, 상기 휴지 기간에, 상기 구동 회로 이외에, 상기 클록 신호 생성 회로의 구동신호의 출력을 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 구동 회로의 상기 표시부로의 구동 신호의 출력 타이밍으로 사용되는 출력 타이밍 클록을 생성하는 출력 타이밍 클록 생성 회로가 제공되고,상기 클록 신호 생성 회로는, 상기 출력 타이밍 클록 생성 회로에서 생성된 출력 타이밍 클록에 기초하여, 상기 클록 신호를 생성하는 동시에,상기 구동 제어 회로는, 상기 휴지 기간에, 상기 출력 타이밍 클록 생성 회로의 구동을, 클록신호 생성 회로에 의한 도트 클록의 발진을 정지시킴으로써 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 구동 회로의 주사 스타트 타이밍으로 사용되는 스타트 타이밍 클록을 생성하는 스타트 타이밍 클록 생성 회로가 제공되고,상기 출력 타이밍 클록 생성 회로는, 상기 스타트 타이밍 클록 생성회로에서 생성된 스타트 타이밍 클록에 기초하여, 출력 타이밍 클록을 생성하는 동시에,상기 구동 제어 회로는, 상기 휴지 기간에, 상기 스타트 타이밍 클록 생성 회로의 구동을, 클록신호 생성 회로에 의한 도트 클록의 발진을 정지시킴으로써 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 클록 신호 생성 회로는, 자신이 클록 신호를 발진하는 클록 신호 발진 회로임을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소에, 액정 표시 소자가 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 화소가 매트릭스 형태로 배치된 화면의 각 라인을, 각각의 라인에서의 화소의 주사 신호선에 주사 신호를 인가함에 의해 선택하여 상기 화면을 주사하고, 선택된 라인의 화소에 데이터 신호선으로부터 데이터 신호를 공급하여 표시를 행하는 표시장치의 구동 방법에 있어서,상기 화면을 주사하는 주사 기간과 주사 기간 사이에, 전 주사 신호선을 비주사 상태로 하는 휴지 기간을 제공하고, 이 휴지 기간에, 데이터 신호를 상기 데이터 신호선에 취입하기 위한 클록 신호를 생성하는 클록 신호 생성 회로의 구동을 2치로 이루어지는 구동제어신호를 사용하여 정지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치의 구동 방법.
