[구성] ID 발생 회로(7)에 의해 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에, 저작권보호 정보, 카테고리 정보를 중첩해서 전송한다. ID 검출 회로(20)에 의해서 저작권 보호 정보, 카테고리 정보로부터 복사 금지인지 어떤지 판단하고 복사 금지의 경우에는 비디오 또는 오디오의 기록을 금지한다.

[산업상의 이용분야]
본 발명은 특히 아날로그에서의 비디오 신호의 복사를 금지하기 위한 비디오 신호의 전송 방법 및 기록 장치에 관한 것이다.
[종래기술]
디지털 VTR에선 더빙을 행해도 대부분 음질 열화가 없으므로 저작권을 보호하기 위해서 복사를 금지할 필요가 있다. 그래서, 디지털 출력을 디지털 입력에 공급하고 더빙하는 디지털 복사에 대해, 디지털 데이터중에 복사 금지의 비트를 세우거나 스크램블을 거는 등, 복사를 금지하기 위한 여러가지 방법이 제안되어 있다.
그런데, 디지털 VTR의 경우에는 아날로그 복사로도 매우 양질의 복사를 행할 수 있으므로 디지털 복사를 금지해도 아날로그 출력을 아날로그 입력에 공급하는 아날로그 복사가 가능하다면 저작권을 완전히 보호할 수 없다.
또, 디지털 VTR에 입력되는 소스에는 위성 방송, 지상 방송, VTR, 비디오 디스크등 여러가지가 있다. 또한, 위성 방송에도 유료 방송, 무료 방송이 있으며 저작권을 지켜야 할 방송, 저작권을 포기한 방송이 있다. 이들 입력되는 소스를 보호해야 하느냐의 여부에 따라서 복사의 금지/허가를 제의해야 한다.
[발명이 해결하려는 과제]
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은 디지털 VTR의 아날로그 복사를 금지할 수 있는 비디오 신호의 전송 방법 및 기록 장치를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 입력되는 소스가 저작권을 지켜야 하느냐의 여부에 따라서 아날로그 복사의 금지/허가를 제어할 수 있는 비디오 신호의 전송 방법 및 기록 장치를 제공하는 것이다.
[과제를 해결하기 위한 수단]
본 발명은 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간(vertical blanking interval)에 저작권 보호 정보, 카테고리 정보를 중첩해서 전송토록 한 비디오 신호의 전송 방법이다.
본 발명은 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 저작권 보호 정보, 카테고리 정보를 중첩해서 전송된 비디오 신호를 입력하고, 저작권 보호 정보, 카테고리 정보로부터 복사 금지 여부를 판단하고, 복사 금지의 경우는 비디오 또는 오디오의 기록을 금지토록한 비디오 신호의 기록 장치이다.
[작용]
아날로그 출력으로부터 아날로그 입력으로 신호를 보내고 복사를 하는 아날로그 복사의 금지를 제어할 수 있다. 또, 소스에 따라서 복사 금지를 제어할 수 있다.
[실시예]
이하, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 대해서 도면을 참조하여 설명한다. 제 1 도는 본 발명의 일 실시예를 도시하는 것이다. 제 1 도에서, (31)은 디지털 VTR의 재생계의 구성을 도시하며, (32)는 디지털 VTR의 기록계의 구성을 도시하는 것이다. 지금, 디지털 VTR(31)에서 디지털 VTR(32)로 아날로그 복사를 행한다고 본다. 디지털 VTR(31)에서 디지털 VTR(32)로 아날로그 복사를 행하기 위해서는 디지털 VTR(31)의 오디오 출력 단자(11)와 디지털 VTR(32)의 오디오 입력 단자(15)가 접속되고, 디지털 VTR(31)의 비디오 출력 단자(12)와 디지털 VTR(32)의 비디오 입력 단자(14)가 접속된다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에선 수직 블랭킹 기간에 ID 신호를 중첩하고, ID 신호를 이용하여 아날로그 복사를 금지토록 하고 있다. 먼저, ID 신호에 대해서 설명한다.
제 2 도 및 제 3 도는 ID 신호를 설명하기 위한 도면이다. 제 2 도에 도시하듯이 ID 신호는 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입되는 20 비트의 신호이다. 20 비트의 신호전에는 기준 비트가 설치된다.
20 비트의 신호는 제 3 도에 도시하듯이 6 비트의 워드 0, 4 비트의 워드 1, 4 비트의 워드 2, 6 비트의 CRC 로 이루어진다. 워드 0 에는 기본 파라미터, 전송 형식에 관한 식별 정보가 삽입된다. 워드 1 엔 저작권의 유무, 오리지널인지 여부를 나타내는 비트가 포함된다. 예컨대 워드 1 의 제 3 비트가 저작권의 유무를 나타내는 비트이며 0 으로 저작권 보호를 나타내고 1 로 저작권 무를 나타낸다. 워드 1 의 제 4 비트가 오리지널인지 여부를 나타내는 비트이며 0 은 지정 무, 1 은 상업적으로 발행된 녹음 완료 소프트웨어가 된다. 워드 2 에는 기기의 카테고리 코드가 삽입된다.
이같은 ID 신호가 설치되어 있으면, ID 신호로부터 복사 금지 여부가 판단되고, 이것에 따라서 기록 장치의 기록 동작을 제어할 수 있다
제 1 도에서 테이프(1)에는 콤포넌트 디지털 비디오 신호가 압축되어 기록되어 있다. 디지털 비디오 신호가 테이프(2)에서 재생되고 데이터 재생 회로(3)에 공급된다. 데이터 재생회로(3)에서 테이프(1)의 기록 신호가 재생된다. 재생신호가 오디오 재생회로(4) 및 데이터 신장 회로(5)에 공급된다. 데이터 신장회로(5)에서 재생된 비디오 신호가 신장된다. 데이터 신장 회로(5)의 출력은 가산 회로(8)에 공급된다. 또, 오디오 재생회로(4)에서 오디오 신호가 재생된다. 오디오 신호가 D/A 변환기(9)에 공급된다. D/A 변환기(9)에서 아날로그의 오디오 신호가 출력된다. 아날로그 오디오 신호가 출력 단자(11)에서 출력된다.
또, 데이터 재생회로(3)의 출력이 복사 가드 비트 검출 회로(6)에 공급된다. 복사 가드 비트 검출 회로(6)에서 재생되고 있는 테이프의 신호의 복사 금지 여부가 판단된다. 복사 가드 비트 검출 회로(6)의 출력이 ID 신호 발생회로(7)에 공급된다. ID신호 발생 회로(7)는 제2도 및 제3도에 도시하는 ID신호를 발생한다.
재생하고 있는 테이프의 신호가 복사 금지면, ID신호 발생 회로(7)에 의해 ID신호의 저작권 비트를 세운다(저작권 비트를 0으로 한다). ID신호가 가산 회로(8)에 공급되고 수직 블랭킹 기간에 ID신호가 중첩된다.
가산 회로(8)의 출력이 D/A 변환기(10)에 공급된다. D/S 변환기(10)에서 비디오 신호가 아날로그 신호로 변환된다. 아날로그 비디오 신호가 출력 단자(12)로 출력된다.
출력 단자(11)로부터의 아놀로그 오디오 신호 및 출력단자(12)로부터의 아날로그 비디오 신호는 디지털 VTR(32)의 아날로그 오디오 입력단자(13) 및 아날로그 비디오 입력 단자(14)에 공급된다. 입력단자(13)로부터의 아놀로그 오디오 신호가 A/D 변환기(15)에 공급된다. 입력단자(14)로부터의 아날로그 비디오 신호가 A/D 변환기(16)에 공급된다.
A/D 변환기(15)에서 오디오 신호가 디지털화 된다. A/D 변환기(15)의 출력이 오디오 기록 회로(17)에 공급된다.
A/D 변환기(16)에서 비디오 신호가 디지털화 된다. A/D 변환기(16)의 출력이 스크램블 회로(18)에 공급된다. 또, 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간의 신호로부터 ID 신호가 검출된다. ID 신호로부터 복사를 허가하는지 여부가 판단된다.
복사 허가의 경우에는, 스위치(22)가 오프, 스위치(23)가 온으로 된다. 경우에는 스크램블 회로(18)에서의 스크램블은 행하지 않으며 A/D 변환기(16)의 출력은 스크램블 회로(18)를 거쳐서 비트 압축 회로(19)에 공급된다. 비트 압축 회로(19)에서 비디오 신호가 압축 부호화 된다. 비트 압축 회로(19)의 출력이 가산 회로(24)에 공급된다. 또, 오디오 기록 회로(17)의 출력이 스위치 회로(23)를 거쳐서 가산 회로(24)에 공급된다. 가산 회로(24)에서 비디오 신호와 오디오 신호가 합성된다. 가산 회로(24)의 출력이 데이터 기록 회로(25)에 공급된다. 데이터 기록 회로(25)의 출력이 헤드(26)에 공급되며 테이프(27)에 기록된다.
복사 금지의 경우엔, 스위치(22)가 온, 스위치(23)가 오프로 된다. 이 경우엔 키 발생 회로(21)로부터 스위치(22)를 거쳐서 스크램블 회로(18)에 키가 공급되며, 키에 의해서 비디오 신호에 스크램블이 걸린다. 상기 스크램블이 걸린 비디오 신호가 비트 압축 회로(19)에 공급된다. 비트 압축 회로(19)에서 비디오 신호가 압축 부호화 된다. 비트 압축 회로(19)의 출력이 가산 회로(24)에 공급된다. 비트 압축 회로(19)의 출력이 가산 회로(24)에 공급된다. 한편, 스위치 회로(23)는 오프이므로 오디오 신호는 뮤트된다. 가산 회로(24)의 출력이 데이터 기록 회로(25)에 공급된다. 데이터 기록 회로(25)의 출력이 헤드(26)에 공급되고 테이프(27)에 기록된다. 이처럼 복사 금지의 경우에는 비디오 신호에 스크램블이 걸리며 오디오 신호가 뮤트된다.
이같이 본 발명의 실시예에선 아날로그 신호에 의한 복사 금지의 제어를 행할 수 있다. 또, 복수의 소스에 따라서 복사 금지 기능을 제어할 수 있다. 예컨대 제 4 도에 도시하듯이 지상 방송의 튜너(51), 비디오 디스크(52), VTR(53), 유료 유선 텔레비젼(튜너 54, 디코더 55), 유료 위성 방송(튜너 56, 디코더 57)등의 VTR(50)에 비디오 신호를 부여하는 소스로 된다. 이경우, 소스가 비디오 디스크 (52)나 VTR(53)일때 뿐만 아니라 유료 유선 텔레비젼이나 유료 위성 방송일 때에 대해서도, 복사 금지로 할 필요가 있다. 비디오 디스크(52)나 VTR(53)에 대해선 상술의 일 실시예와 마찬가지로 아날로그 복사를 금지할 수 있다. 또, 디코더(55) 및 디코더(57)에 ID 신호를 부가하는 기능을 두고, ID 신호의 저작권 비트를 세우도록 하면 유료 유선 텔레비젼이나 유료 위성 방송에 대해서 복사 금지할 수 있다. 또한, 복사 금지의 제어에 대해서 카테고리 코드를 쓸수 있다.
[발명의 효과]
본 발명에 의하면, 아날로그 출력에서 아날로그 입력으로 신호를 전송하고 복사를 하는 아날로그 복사를 금지할 수 있다. 또, 본 발명에 의하면, 소스에 따라, 복사 금지를 제어할 수 있다.

Claims (8)

  1. (정정) 비디오 신호를 전송하는 방법에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하는 단계, 상기 재생 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호(copy guard signal)를 검출하는 단계, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 발생하는 단계, 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 형성하기 위해 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 삽입하는 단계, 상기 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를, 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하는 단계, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 비디오 신호 전송 방법.
  2. (신설) 비디오 신호를 전송하는 방법에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하는 단계, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하는 단계, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호가 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환되기전에, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하는 단계, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 생성하는 단계, 상기 ID 신호를 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입하는 단계, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입된 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 비디오 신호 전송방법.
  3. (신설) 비디오 재생 장치에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 발생하기 위한 수단, 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 형성하기 위해, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 삽입하기 위한 수단, 및 상기 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 출력하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 비디오 재생 장치.
  4. (신설) 비디오 재생 장치에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호가 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환되기 전에, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 생성하기 위한 수단, 상기 ID 신호를 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입하기 위한 수단, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입된 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 출력하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 비디오 재생 장치
  5. (신설) 비디오 신호를 재생하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하는 단계, 상기 재생 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하는 단계, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 발생하는 단계, 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 형성하기 위해, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 삽입하는 단계, 및 상기 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 출력하는 단계를 포함하는 비디오 신호 재생 방법 .
  6. (신설) 비디오 신호를 재생하는 방법에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하는 단계, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하는 단계, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호가 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환되기 전에, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하는 단계, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 생성하는 단계, 상기 ID 신호를 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입하는 단계, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입된 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 출력하는 단계를 포함하는 비디오 신호 재생방법.
  7. (신설) 비디오 신호를 전송하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID 신호를 발생하기 위한 수단, 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를 형성하기 위해, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 삽입하기 위한 수단, 상기 멀티플렉싱된 디지털 비디오 신호를, 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하기 위한 수단, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 전송하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 비디오 신호 전송 장치 .
  8. (신설) 비디오 신호를 전송하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 기록 매체로부터 디지털 비디오 신호를 재생하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환하기 위한 수단, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호가 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호로 변환되기 전에, 상기 재생된 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 디지털 비디오 신호에 존재하는 복사 가드 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단, 상기 검출된 복사 가드 신호에 따라 ID신호를 생성하기 위한 수단, 상기 ID 신호를 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입하기 위한 수단, 및 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호의 수직 블랭킹 기간에 삽입된 상기 ID 신호를 갖는 상기 아날로그 비디오 신호를 전송하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 비디오 신호 전송 장치.
