Abstract

PURPOSE:To cope with future use of an undefined control signal, by enabling to make parallel and serial processings for the input and output of a control signal for a PCM signal. CONSTITUTION:Parallel input processing is made, when control signals of logical 0 and 1 are applied to a serial input terminal 37 of a lock input circuit 8 and parallel input terminals 39 and 40 respectively with a control signal of a recording LSI7. A preemphasis discrimination and dubbing inhibiting code of the control signal inputted in parallel with the terminals 39 and 40 becomes a control signal combined with a PCM recording signal via NAND gates 29-31 in clock control and an NAND gate 33 opened for 1H period. Serial processing is made when a control signal of logical 1 is applied to the terminal 37 only. This can also be applied to the processing of the control signal via a control signal block output circuit 10 of the LSI7, a reproduction LSI11, and a control LSI9, and serial processing can be made for future processing of an undefined control signal without providing an external circuit, allowing a PCM signal device with high conventionality.
