Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ■1発明の背景 (技術分野) 本発明は、医療器具、医療用容器、その他種々の物品を
収納保存するだめの包装容器に関するものである。
(先行技術およびその問題点) 上述した種々の物品を収納保存するだめの包装容器は、
その周縁部をインパルスンールや高周波誘導加熱等のピ
ー1−シールしているものが多い。このヒートシール時
においては、第1図に示すように、下型1およびヒート
シール金型2の間に下シート3および上ソート4を積層
押圧して、両シートのヒートシールを行なっている。と
ころが、ヒートシール金型2としては、従来はストレー
トな表面のランドを有するものを用いている。
第1図に示すように幅の広いランドを有する金型を用い
た場合には、その面積が大きい為、シール力が弱く、外
力等によシ剥離を生じ易い。まだ、第2図に示すように
幅の狭いランド゛を有する金型を用いた場合には、その
面積が不合い為、シートに対し強い力で押圧することか
でき、シール力を強くすることができるが、接着部周縁
のシート厚さが薄くなる為に耐衝撃性に乏しく、例えば
落下テストにより剥離し易い。
また、溶融した両シートの構成材料の逃げ場がないため
に、この溶融材料は両シート間に流出するばかりでなく
、上シート4と下シート3との間に断片状のパリとして
突出してくることがある。
あるいは、第3図に示すように、ヒートソール金型2側
のシート4では、ヒートシール金型2の周縁にあたる上
シート4の部分において薄肉脆弱部6かでき、さらに悪
い場合にはピンホールができることがある。前者のよう
にパリができることは、外観が不良となり問題となる。
後者のように薄肉脆弱部やピンホールかできる場合には
さらに悪く、保存性に問題がでるばかりか、上シートの
ピールオープン性にも問題がでてくる。特に、医療用物
品など包装容器内への空気不透過性を求められる包装容
器では、上記後者の場合のような問題が生じることは致
命的欠陥となる。
■3発明の目的 本発明は上述のような実状に鑑みなされたもので、その
目的とするところは、シール強度が強く、耐衝撃性に優
れ、パリの発生がなく、また、接着部周縁に薄肉脆弱部
やピンホールが発生したりすることなく、捷だ、この接
着部のビールオープン性が優れた包装容器を提供しよう
とするものである。
■5発明の具体的構成 本発明によれば、開口部周縁にフランジ部を有するトレ
一部とシート状蓋体と全前記フランジ部においてヒート
ソールしてなる包装容器において、前記トレ一部のフラ
ンジ部と前記シート状蓋体とのヒートシール部は、ヒー
ト/−ル部の横断面方向に見て、中央部の一次接着部と
その両性側に該−次接着部を保護する二次接着部とで構
成され、前記中央−次接着部は強く圧着された肉薄の接
着部からなシ、前記二次接着部は前記中央−次接着部よ
シも弱く圧着された肉厚の接着部で構成することにより
、上記目的全達成することができる。医療用物品等の収
納保存を行う場合には、空気不透過性が必要でちゃ、そ
のような場合には、前記トレ一部はポリオレフィン層上
にガスおよび水蒸気遮断性を有する層を介してポリオレ
フィン層全積層したシート製であり、前記蓋体はポリオ
レフィン層、ポリアミド層およびガスおよび水蒸気遮断
性を有する層およびヒートシールに対して耐熱性を有す
る層を順次積層してなるソートを用いるのが好適である
以下、本発明の包装容器を添付図面につき詳細に説明す
る。以下の説明では、代表的に医療用容器を収納保存す
る包装容器について述べるが、本発明はこれに限定され
るものではない。
尚、本発明においてヒートソールとは、熱融着性を有す
る少なくとも2つの材料を加熱することにより熱融着さ
せる操作をいう。また、本発明において接着部の厚さと
は、接着部におけるトレーのフランジ部とシート状蓋体
のそれぞれの厚さの和をいう。
本発明による医療用容器等の包装容器は、第4図および
第5図に示すように、開口部にフランジ部11を備えて
なるトレ一部12内の少なくとも一面には、必要に応じ
て底面を凹没させて脱酸素剤収納部13を形成させ、そ
の底部にさらに少なくとも1個の凹溝14全形成させる
。この脱酸素剤収納部13内に、少なくとも一面はアル
ミ薄、膜、合成樹脂フィルム、ワックス、合成樹脂全含
浸ないし被覆した紙まだは布等の非通気性シート15で
被覆し、かつ他の少なくとも一面、通常前記面に相対す
る面を紙、布等の通気性シート16で被覆してなる脱酸
素剤17を、通気性シート16か凹溝14側に位置する
ように収納する。しかして、前記凹溝14は脱酸素剤収
納部13外に達するように形成され、これによりカス通
路全形成する。
このトレ一部12には、脱酸素剤17とともに医療用容
器18を収納したのち、蓋体20がピールタブ30によ
りピールオープン可能にヒートンールされる。
本発明による医療用容器等の保存用包装容器において、
トレ一部12および蓋体20としては、ガスおよび水蒸
気に対する遮断性が良好で密封性の良好なものであれば
いずれの材料も使用できるが、−例金挙げるとつぎのも
のかあり、保形性、ガスおよび水蒸気遮断性および密封
性が特に良好であり、しかも透明である。すなわち、第
6図に示すように、トレ一部12はポリオレフィン層(
外層)21上に、ガスおよび水蒸気遮断性を有する層(
中間層)22を介してポリオレフィン層(内層)23を
積層してなるシートで、盆状に作られてなるものである
。一方、蓋体20は、ポリオレフィン層(内層)24、
ポリアミド層(中間層)25およびカス及び水蒸気遮断
性を有する層26およびヒートシールに対して耐熱性を
有する層(外層)27を順次積層してなるものである。
トレ一部12の外層21および内層23全構成するポリ
オレフィンとしては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等
があり、好ましくは、その保形性ならびに耐熱性か優れ
ている点からポリプロピレンである。その厚さは、それ
ぞれ500〜600μmである。壕だ、トレ一部12の
中間層22を構成するガスおよび水蒸気遮断性を有する
層としては、エチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体層等
が好ましく、その厚さは約50μmである。
また、蓋体は前記のごとき構成を有しているので、ナイ
ロン層等のポリアミド層の為にピール%−−プン可能で
かつ十分な強度を有し、ポリ塩化ビ゛ニリテン層、エチ
レン−酢酸ビニル共重合体層等のカス及び水蒸気遮断性
材料を用いることにより、ガスおよび水蒸気に対して高
い遮断性を有し、また、外層のヒートシールに対して耐
熱性を有する樹脂層をポリエステル、ポリアミドまたは
s= IJフ。
ロピレンとすることにより、ヒートン−)ししても十分
な保形性を有し、これらの層はいずれも透明であるので
内容物の保存状態をみることができる。
また、トレ一部のポリオレフィン層をポリプロピレンと
し、蓋体のポリオレフィン層(内層)24をホットメル
ト接着剤層としてポリエチレンとポリプロピレンとのブ
レンドとし、重量比に20:80〜50:50とするこ
とにより、十分な接着性を有すると共にビールオープン
性に優れる。
なお、ガスおよび水蒸気遮断性全必要としない包装容器
においては、トレ一部12および蓋体20にはガスおよ
び水蒸気遮断性を有する層を設ける必要はなく、ヒート
シールが可能な材料で1−レ一部12および蓋体20は
構成されていれば良い。
本発明の医療用容器等用の包装容器において、トレ一部
12のフランジ部11と蓋体20とのヒートシール部は
、第7図に部分的に拡大誇張して示すように、中央−次
接着部31およびその両側の二次接着部32よりなる。
中央の一次接着部31ば、ヒートシール時に金型の強陽
力による押圧により、その部分の蓋体20およびフラン
ジ部11の構成材料の一部が溶融して、中央部から蓋体
およびフランジ部間に沿って流出しつつ接着されて形成
された部分であシ、肉薄の接着部となっている。中央の
一次接着部31の両側の二次接着部32は、中央接着部
31から溶融した蓋体20およびフランジ部11の構成
材料が流出して、半溶融状態の蓋体およびフランジ部間
に吸収充填されて形成されたもので、弱く圧着された肉
厚の接着部からなり、従来のようにパリが発生したり、
第3図に示すようにシート接着部周辺付近において薄肉
部が生じることはない。
このような構成の包装容器全製造する方法につき、第8
図を参照しつつ以下に説明する。トレ一部12のフラン
ジ部11とソート状の蓋体20とを、第8図に例示する
ような構成の金型を用いてヒートシールする。フランツ
部11の下側には下側金型33を装入する。蓋体20の
上からはヒートシール金型34を下側金型33に押圧す
る。ヒー1−シール金型34は、下側金型33との間の
距離が蓋体20およびフランジ部11の肉厚の和より小
さな第1ランド35、第1ランドより僅かに大きな前記
距離を有する第2ランド36を有する。
第1ランド35の両側の第2ランド36以下のランドは
、所要に応じ任意の数設けることができる。
また、第2ランド36以下のランドの代りに、斜面37
を有するヒートシール金型を用いることもできる(第1
0図参照)。図示のヒートシール金型34および下側金
型33により蓋体20およびフランジ部11を押圧する
と、第1ランド35の位置においては、蓋体20および
フランジ部11の肉厚の和より第1ランド35と下側金
型330間の距離は小さいから、蓋体20とフランジ部
11とは接触して強く圧着きれ、金型の熱で構成材料の
一部が溶融し、第1ランド部分から第2ランド36およ
びそれ以下のランドの位置において、蓋体20とフラン
ジ部11との間に形成される小空間38の方向に押し出
づれて流出し、肉薄の接着部となる。第2ランド36お
よびそれ以下のランドの位置においては、蓋体20とフ
ランジ部11とは弱い力で圧着され、肉厚の接着部が形
成される。このようにして、小空間38には、第1ラン
ド35の作用により押し出された蓋体20およびフラン
ジ部11の溶融材料か実質的に充填され、第9図に示す
ような接着部となり、薄肉脆弱部おるいはピンホールを
発生させることなく、蓋体20とトレ一部12のフラン
ジ部11との間に均質かつ確実な接着部を形成すること
ができる。
このようにして形成されるヒートシール部19は、医療
用容器などの物品を保存収納している時には、この部分
が破損した!llあるいは必要な場合にはカスバリア性
を発揮しなければならず、また一方では、医療用容器な
どの物品を取り出す時には、この部分か良好にビールオ
ープンできるよう構成されていなければならない。本発
明におけるヒートシール部の中央−次接着部は、強制的
に強い力で押圧されて溶融した材料間で接着が行われた
ものであり、蓋体の一部をトレ一部のフランジ部内に食
い込ませることができ、シール安定性全保証する。!、
た、二次接着部は弱い力で圧着きれている為、ビール時
には一次接着部よυも容易にオープンし、ビールオープ
ン性の開始部を与えるとともに、前記−次接着部が必要
以上に肉薄となることを防止し、烙らに接着部の耐衝撃
性全向上させることができる。ビールオープン性は前述
したようなビールオープンが容易な材料で構成されてい
るから良好である。
〔実施例〕
厚さ500μmのポリプロピレン/i(外り上に、厚さ
50μmのエチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体層(中
間層)、およびさらにその上に厚さ500μmのポリプ
ロピレン層(内層)全積層してなるラミネートのトレ一
部内に血液バッグを収納し、ついで厚さ10μmのポリ
アミド層(内層)上に、厚さ10μmのポリ塩化ビニリ
デン層(中間層)、およびさらに厚さ20μmのポリエ
チレンテレフタレート層(外層)全積層してなる平坦な
蓋体を、ホットメルト接着剤層として蓋体に設けられた
ポリオレフィン層(ポリエチレン対ポリプロピレン−6
5:25)i介して、第8図に示すようなランド横幅3
鮒(−次接着部幅]、mm、二次接着部幅各1謹)の金
型34を用いてヒートソールした。
〔比較例1〕 実施例と同様な方法において、第1図に示すような金型
(横幅3鵡)を用いてヒートシールした。
〔比較例2〕 実施例と同様な方法において、第2図に示すような金型
(横幅1 +nm ) f用いてヒートシールした。
上記包装容器の接着部のシール強度が1〜1.5Kgと
なるようシールしたうえで、該接着部のビール強度と落
下破壊強度を測定した。尚、落下破壊強度は、包装容器
QIQmの高さの位置から落下させて、接着部に僅かで
も剥離等が生じたもの全破壊されたものとして数えた。
結果全第1表に示す。
第1表 この結果、本発明に係る実施例においてはビール強度が
最小かつ充分な値全示し、ビールオープン操作が容易で
あるとともに、落下破壊強度については破壊されたもの
がなく、その強度においても同時に改善されたことが確
認された。
■1発明の詳細 な説明した処から明らかなように、本発明による医療用
容器などを収納保存する包装容器には、以下に述べるよ
うな多くの利点がもたらされる。
すなわち、本発明は、開口部周縁にフランジ部を有する
トレ一部とシート状蓋体とを前記フランジ部においてヒ
ートシールしてなる包装容器において、前記l・レ一部
のフランジ部と前記シート状蓋体とのヒートシール部は
、ヒートシール部の横断面方向に見て、中央部の一次接
着部とその両性側の二次接着部とで構成され、前記中央
−次接着部は強く圧着された肉薄の接着部からなり、前
記二次接着部は前記中央−次接着部よりも弱く圧着され
た肉厚の接着部からなることを特徴とする包装容器であ
るから、トレ一部のフランジ部とソート状蓋体とのヒー
トシール部は、ヒートシールMの横断面方向に見て中央
部の一次接着部において強く圧着され、該接着部におい
て該蓋体はフランジ部内に食い込んで接着している為、
ソールの安定性に優れ、強い接着か可能となった。
さらに、−次接着部の両側には弱く圧着された肉厚の二
次接着部がある為、前記−次接着部が必要以上に肉薄と
なることを防止するとともに、該−次接着部全両側から
保護することにより、該−次接着部の周縁部が薄肉化し
て脆弱となったり、ピンホールが発生するのを防止して
耐衝撃性全良好とした。
また、二次接着部は一次接着部よりも弱く圧着されてい
る為、ビール時には一次接着部よりも容易に剥離するこ
とができ、ビールオープン時の初期抵抗を小さいものと
し、ビールオープンの作業性を良好とする。
まだ、密封容器を前記のごとき特定の積層物で構成する
と、トレ一部は内外両層のポリオレフィン層のために保
形性および透明性が良好であり、址たエチレンーヒニル
アルコール共重合体層等のカスおよび水蒸気遮断性材料
を用いることにより、高い水蒸気・酸素(カス)遮断性
を有し、かつ透明である。また、蓋体は前記のごとき構
成ケ有しているので、ナイロン層等のポリアミド層の為
にビールオープン可能でかつ十分な強度を有し、ポリ塩
化ヒニリデン層、エチレン−酢酸ヒニル共重合体層等の
ガス及び水蒸気遮断性材料を用いることにより、ガスお
よび水蒸気に対して高い遮断性を有し、また外層のヒー
トシールに対して耐熱性を有する樹脂層全ポリエステル
、ポリアミドまたはポリプロピレンとすることにより、
ヒートシールしても十分な保形性を有し、これらの層は
いずれも透明であるので内容物の保存状態をみることが
できる。また、トレ一部のポリオレフィン層全ポリプロ
ピレンとし、蓋体のポリオレフィン層(内層)24をホ
ットメルト接着剤層としてポリエチレンとポリプロピレ
ンとのブレンドとし、重量比全20:80〜50:50
とすることにより、十分な接着性を有すると共にビール
オープン性に優れる。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)開口部周縁にフランジ部を有するトレ一部とシー
    ト状蓋体とを前記フランジ部においてヒートシールして
    なる包装容器において、前記トレ一部のフランジ部と前
    記シート状蓋体とのヒートシール部は、ヒートシール部
    の横断面方向に見て、中央部の一次接着部とその両性側
    に該−次接着部を保護する二次接着部とで構成され、前
    記中央−次接着部は強く圧着された肉薄の接着部からな
    シ、前記二次接着部は前記中央−次接着部よりも弱く圧
    着された肉厚の接着部からなることを特徴とする包装容
    器。
  2. (2)前記トレ一部はポリオレフィン層上にガスおよび
    水蒸気遮断性を有する層を介してポリオレフィン層を積
    層したシート製であシ、前記蓋体はポリオレフィン層、
    ポリアミド層およびガスおよび水蒸気遮断性を有する層
    およびヒートシールに。 対して耐熱性を有する層を順次積層してなるシートであ
    ることを特徴とする包装容器。
