Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、自動二輪車の前面覆いに係り、特に、エンジ
ン部の周囲を覆う自動二輪車の前面覆いに関する。
従来、自動二輪車の前面には、運転者に作用する寒気を
避けたり、運転者に作用する風圧を下げて走行抵抗を少
なくすべく、前面覆いが摩り付けられている。この前面
覆いは、エンジン周囲を覆うとともに、エンジン前方部
に前面開口を設けて、エンジンに冷却風を導入可能とし
ている。
しかしながら、このような従来の自動二輪車の前面覆い
にあっては、前面覆いが運転者の脚部付近にまで延設さ
れていることから、前面開口から導入され、エンジンに
よって暖められて熱気となっている空気が運転者の脚部
に当り、気候の温暖時においては運転者の居住性を阻害
するという問題点がある。
本発明は、上記従来の問題点に鑑みなされたものであっ
て、運転者の居住性を向上可能とする自動二輪車の前面
覆いを提供することを目的とする。
上記目的を達成するために、本発明は、エンジン部の周
囲を橿う自動二輪車の前面覆いにおいて、運転者の脚部
に対する空気の流れ方向を制御可能とする整流板を、そ
の両側部に備えるようにしたものである。
以下、本発明の実施例を図面を参照して説明するＯ 第１図は、本発明に係る自動二輪車の前面覆いの一実施
例を示す側面図、第２図および第３図はそれぞれ同実施
例の異なる作動状態を示す要部略断面図である。フレー
ム１１にはエンジン１２が搭載され、フーレーム１１の
前部にはフロントフオ−り１３を介して前車輪１４が懸
架されるとともに、かじ窄りハンドル１５が設けられ、
フレーム１１の後部にはりャクッション１６を介して後
車軸１７が懸架されている。フレーム１１の上部には、
燃料タンク１８およびシート１９がをり付けられ、シー
ト１９に着座する運転者２０は、その脚部２０Ａをフー
トレスト２１に預けることが可能となっている。
更に、フレーム１１の前部には前面覆い２２が取り付け
られ、前面覆い２２の上部はかじ堆すハンドル１５の周
囲を覆い、前面覆い２２の下部はエンジン１２の胸囲を
覆って、運転者２０の脚部２０Ａ付近まで延設されてい
る。
前面覆い２２の、エンジン１２に対する前方部には、エ
ンジン１２に冷却風を導入可能とする前面開口２３が形
成されている。また前面覆い２２の脚部２０Ａ側に延設
されている両側部には、ヒンジ２４を介して回動可能な
整流板２５が配設されている。整流板２５は、第２図に
示すように前面覆い２２の本体側面と同一面をなす閉止
位置と、第３図に示すように運転者２０の脚部２０Ａの
前方に位置し、前面覆い２２の両側部に側部開口２６を
形成する開放位置との２位置間を回動可能とされ、運転
者２０によって上記２位置のいずれかに選択的に固定さ
れ、脚部２０Ａに対する空気の流れ方向を制御可能とし
ている。
次に、上記実施例の作用について説明する。気候の寒冷
時においては、整流板２５は第２図に示すように閉止位
置に停留保持され、前面覆い２２の前面開口２３から導
入され、エンジン１２によって暖められた熱気が運転者
２０の脚部２０Ａに当るように導き、運転者２０に防寒
効果を与える。
一方、気候の温暖時には、整流板２５を第３図に示すよ
うに開放位置に停留保持し、エンジン１２−によって暖
められた熱気を脚部２０Ａ側に導入することなく、整流
板２５によって整流し、側部開口２６から外部に逃がし
、脚部２０Ａが熱くなるのを防止可能とする。
上記実施例によれ゛ば、運転者２０は、気候の変化に応
じて、整流板２５を回動操作し、エンジン１２によって
暖められた熱気の脚部２０Ａに対する流れ方向を制御可
能となり、運転者２０の居住性を良好とすることができ
る。
以上のように、本発明は、エンジン部の周囲を覆う自動
二輪車の前面覆いにおいて、運転者の脚部に対する空気
の流れ方向を制御可能とする整流板をその両側部に備え
るようにしたので、運転者の居住性を向上することがで
きるという効果を有する。

  1. （１）　　エンジン部の周囲を覆う自動二輪車の前面覆
    いにおいて、運転者の脚部に対する空気の流れ方向を制
    御可能とする整流板を、その両側部に備えることを特徴
    とする自動二輪車の前面覆い。
