Abstract
形品の製法において、木質化粧表面材の木質単板部の塗
装を、機械化が可能な平面での工程とし、良好な塗装外
観を得る。 【構成】 成形金型に配置する前の木質化粧表面材の段
階にて、これの木質単板部に生地仕上げ、着色、下塗
り、中塗り、上塗りなどの塗装を施しておき、その後、
樹脂を射出し成形する。
Description
樹脂とからなる複合成形品を製造する方法に関し、木質
化粧表面材の木質単板部に予め塗装を施した後、これに
樹脂を射出して複合成形品を得ることにより、良好な塗
装外観が得られるようにしたものである。
機などに、木目柄を有し、木質化粧表面材と合成樹脂と
からなる複合成形品が広く使用されている。このような
木目柄の複合成形品をつくるには、突板とよばれる木材
の単板、合板、不織布等で裏打ちされた単板等の木質材
薄板が表面材として用いられ、これを射出成形金型内に
配置し、芯材となる合成樹脂を射出して成形し、ついで
表面材部に塗装を施す方法などが行われていた。ところ
で、このような方法によって得られた複合成形品は、意
匠性に優れているが、成形品の形状が複雑になると、表
面の木質材薄板に割れを生じ、製品不良が発生し易くな
るという問題があった。
形金型内に配置する表面材として、木質単板の裏面にア
ウミニウム薄板を積層一体化したものを用いて成形する
方法が開発された。この方法によれば、木質単板はアル
ミニウム薄板によって補強されているので、複雑な形状
の複合成形品に用いても破損することがなく、美しい木
目柄の製品が得られる。
うな方法では、仕上げ塗装が複合成形品の曲面上に施さ
れるために、塗装工程において機械化が困難であり、手
間がかかっていた。

単板部に生地仕上げ、着色、下塗り、中塗り、上塗りな
どの塗装を施しておき、その後、樹脂を射出し成形する
ことで解決される。
本発明で用いられる木質化粧表面材について図1を参照
して説明する。この木質化粧表面材1は、図1に示すよ
うに、金属薄板3あるいは樹脂薄板4の一方の面に木質
単板2を積層し、他方の面に多孔質材5あるいは繊維質
材6を積層し、一体化した板状のものである。
鋼、銅等の金属を0.01〜0.5mm程度の厚さの薄板
にしたものを用いることができる。この金属薄板3の厚
さは、特に0.1〜0.3mmの範囲とするのが好まし
い。また、この金属薄板3は、耐食性、接着性等を向上
せしめるために化成被膜処理を施したものが望ましい。
また、この金属薄板3に代えて用途等に応じ樹脂薄板4
を用いることができる。この樹脂薄板4としては、熱可
塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂等の任意のものが用いられる。
質のものを用いることができるが、木目柄の美しいもの
を用いることが望ましい。また、その厚さは0.15〜
0.5mmで、特に0.2mm程度のものが好ましい。

意に設定することができる。多孔質材5に代えて繊維質
材6を用いることができる。この繊維質材6としては、
不織布、紙、ガラス繊維マット等を用いることができ、
その厚さは、木質化粧表面材1の形状追従性を低下させ
ない範囲で任意に設定することができる。また、その目
付は30〜70g/m2のものを好ましく用いることが
できる。
材5は接着剤によって一体化されて木質化粧表面材1を
形成するが、ここで用いられる接着剤は特に限定されな
い。しかし、この木質化粧表面材1は後工程で溶融状態
の合成樹脂を射出成形するため、この熱に耐えうるよう
に、エポキシ系、ウレタン系などの耐熱性の熱硬化型接
着剤を用いて、加圧加熱接着するのが好ましい。
の木質単板2に、ついで塗装を施す。この塗装の方法に
ついては、特に限定されず、例えば、素地研磨、ウオッ
シュコート、着色染色、目止め、研磨、下塗り、上塗
り、研磨、などの塗装工程を採用でき、塗料としてはセ
ルロース系、アクリル系、ポリウレタン系、メラミン
系、アルキド系、不飽和ポリエステル系などの通常の木
工塗装に使用されている塗料が用いられる。また、粉末
エポキシ系塗料などを用いる粉体塗装も採用しうる。特
に、目止めを行なわず木材の持っている天然の美しさを
そのままの姿で仕上げようとするオープンポアー仕上げ
においては、一般の塗装によるオープンポアー仕上げよ
りも良好な仕上がり外観となる。
化粧表面材1を、射出成形金型内に配置し、ポリプロピ
レン、ABS樹脂などの合成樹脂を射出する。すると、
表面材1は金型の形状に沿って変形し所望の形状に成形
されるとともに、この表面材1と合成樹脂7とが一体化
された成形品が得られる。これを離型すると図2に示す
ような複合成形品8が得られる。また、成形後、さらに
上塗りを施すことも可能である。
化粧表面材1を予め予備成形した後、射出成形金型内に
配置して樹脂を射出し成形することもできる。この予備
成形は、木質化粧表面材1の変形量の多い部分を予めプ
レス成形などの方法によって成形しておくものである。
質化粧表面材1の木質単板2上に塗装を施すため、平面
に塗装することになり、機械化が可能で、生産効率が向
上する。また、オープンポアー塗装を施したものでは、
合成樹脂の射出成形時の成形圧力により、木質化粧表面
材1の木質単板2が金型内面に押し付けられるため、複
合成形品8の表面塗装面が平滑な仕上がり肌になるとと
もにシャープな導管の開きが得られ、通常のオープンポ
アー塗装よりも良好な仕上がり外観となる。さらに、予
備成形を行なうものでは、射出成形金型内での溶融樹脂
の射出圧力による変形力により、複雑な表面形状の複合
成形品8を得ることができる。
理したアルミニウム薄板3の両面に、接着剤を用いて厚
さ0.2mmの木質単板2,5をそれぞれ一体化して三層
構造の木質化粧表面材1を形成した。この際、接着剤と
して、架橋型ウレタンディスパージョン接着剤を用いて
接着した。この木質化粧表面材1の一方の木質単板2上
に通常の方法にてオープンポアー塗装(薄塗り塗装)を
施した。この塗装は、生地仕上げを#240の研磨紙に
よる研磨で、着色を着色ウレタン樹脂によるワイピング
で、下塗をウレタンクリヤー塗料によって行なった。

品は木質化粧表面材1と樹脂7とが一体となり、尚且つ
表面の木材は成形圧力によって金型にプレスされ、平滑
で導管がシャープに開いた仕上がり外観となっていた。
形品の製法は、金属薄板あるいは樹脂薄板の一面に木質
単板を積層し、他面に多孔質材あるいは繊維質材を積層
一体化して木質化粧表面材を得、次いでこの表面材の木
質単板部に塗装処理を施し、その後、これを成形金型内
に配置し、この表面材の多孔質材あるいは繊維質材側に
樹脂を射出して複合成形品を得るものであるので、平面
で塗装でき、機械化が可能な方法で良好な塗装外観が得
られる。また、特にオープンポアー仕上げにおいては、
射出成形時の成形圧力により表面の木質単板が金型にプ
レスされ、平滑な肌とシャープな導管の開きが得られ、
一般の塗装によるオープンポアー仕上げよりも良好な仕
上がり外観になる。

Claims (2)
- 【請求項1】 金属薄板あるいは樹脂薄板の一面に木質
単板を積層し、他面に多孔質材あるいは繊維質材を積層
一体化して木質化粧表面材を得、次いでこの表面材の木
質単板部に塗装処理を施し、その後、これを成形金型内
に配置し、この表面材の多孔質材あるいは繊維質材側に
樹脂を射出して複合成形品を得ることを特徴とする製
法。 - 【請求項2】 金属薄板あるいは樹脂薄板の一面に木質
単板を積層し、他面に多孔質材あるいは繊維質材を積層
一体化して木質化粧表面材を得、次いでこの表面材の木
質単板部に塗装処理を施し、この表面材を予備成形して
おき、その後、これを成形金型内に配置し、この表面材
の多孔質材あるいは繊維質材側に樹脂を射出して複合成
形品を得ることを特徴とする製法。
