Description
成形品を製造する方法に関し、木質材薄板として金属薄
板の両面に木材単板を貼付して一体化した三層構造の木
質材薄板を用いることにより、木質材薄板の割れを防止
し、耐久性が優れ、かつ表面光沢に富んだ複合成形品が
得られるようにしたものである。
柄を有する合成樹脂複合成形品が広く使用されている。
木材の薄片、木材単板1合板、不織布等で裏打ちされた
単板等の木質材薄板を射出成型金型内に配置し、合成樹
脂を射出してインサート成形したり、或いは合成樹脂成
形体を表面にサンデンジ。塩素化処理等によって表面処
理を施し、接着性を向上させた後、接着剤を塗布して、
木質材薄板を圧着する方法などが行われている。
形品は、意匠性に優れているが、成形品の形状が;す雑
となると、表面の木質材薄板に割れを生じ、不良品か発
生し易くなる。これを防止するため、木質材薄板を予め
真空成形等によって予備成形して使用する試みもなされ
ているか、この予備成形の段階で割れを生ずるため、効
果のあるχ・1策ではなかった。特に後者の接着剤で接
着する方θ:は、接着剤のハミ出し、汚れ、接着時のズ
レ等があり、また、接着部の固定化に時間を要する欠点
かある。
って表面部−にげを行なうと、パフ研磨時の摩擦熱によ
って界面の樹脂が軟化し、表面に細かい凹凸か発生する
。そのため、吹上げによる鏡面仕上げ、或いは艶消し仕
上げを採用しなければならなかった。
金型内に木質材薄板を配置して合成樹脂のインサート成
形を行なっても木質材薄板が破れることがなく、また、
得られた複合成形体をパフ研磨しても表面に凹凸模様が
現れる等にて、外観を損うことがない複合成形品の製造
方法を提供することを目的とする。
方法は、 表面部に木質材薄板の層を有し、内部に合成樹脂からな
る芯材を有する複合成形品を成形するにあたり、金属薄
板の両面に木材単板を積層した構造を有する表面材料を
成形金型内に配置し、次いで合成樹脂を該表面材の裏側
に成形して、該表面材と合成樹脂とを一体化する。
カリ処理した木材単板を用いると、木材単板に柔軟性が
付与されるので、上記三層木質材薄板の形状変化に対す
る追従性はさらに増大する。
合金、マグネ7ウム、マグネ7ウム系合金、チタン、チ
タン系合金、銅、銅系合金、鉄、鉄系合金、真鍮、また
はステンレスが用いられる。
薄板か大きく変形されても、金属薄板の補強力によって
表面の木材単板が破損することがない。また、を縫合成
形品をパフ研磨し、摩擦熱によって境界樹脂が軟化して
も金属薄板が設けられているので、木質材薄板表面に細
かい凹凸があられれることはない。
lの一例を示す縦断面図で、図中符号2は金属薄板であ
る。この金属FfJ板2の両面には、それぞれ表木材単
板(以下表単板という)3および裏木材単板(以下裏単
板という)4が接着剤によって接着一体化され、三層の
木質材薄板1が構成されている。
、必要に応じて表面に化成被膜処理や酸化波膜処理を施
してもよい。
強する強度を有することが必要で、使用される金属によ
って厚さが選定される。

接着剤の種類の制限はない。しかし、合成樹脂をインサ
ート成形するため耐熱性の熱硬化型接着剤を用い、加圧
加熱接着するのが望ましい。

成樹脂5は裏単板4と接するか、その際、第3図に示す
ように裏単板4の小孔4aに樹脂5が侵入するアンカー
効果によって、接着剤を用いることなく強固に接合され
る。

剤は冷圧接骨、或いは80°C程度以下の中温域接着剤
に制限される。従って射出成形の際の成形条件に対する
制約か厳しくなり、耐熱性の低い複合成形品しか得られ
ず、不適当である。

材薄板1を配置し、プレス成形すると、木質材薄板1は
変形し第5図に示すような表面材ビとなる。これを離型
して第6図に示す射出成形金型7にインサートして、合
成樹脂5を射出すると第7図に示すように表面材ビと合
成樹脂5とが一体化された複合成形品8が得られる。

面仕上げする場合、研磨熱によって境界の合成樹脂が軟
化しても、金属薄板が設けられているので、その動きが
表面にあられれて細かい凹凸模様が発生することがない
。さらに、金属薄板によって水分の透過が遮断されるの
で、耐湿性がよく、耐久性が大幅に向上される。

増大されるので、木質材薄板1の変形に対する追従性が
向上し、さらに複雑な成形品に対応することか出来る。

ミニウム薄板の両面に、接着剤を用いて厚さQ 2m
mのウオールナツト単板よりなる表単板3および裏単板
4をそれぞれ接着一体化して三層の木質材薄板lを作製
した。

’で3分間押圧して接着した。この木質材薄板1は表裏
対称のため筒状にまるまることがなく取扱い易い。
型6内にセットし、表面材1′をプレス成形した。この
表面材1′を射出成形金型7にインサートしABS樹脂
を射出して、複合成形品8を作製した。このIV合成形
品8の表面材1′と樹脂5は強固に一体化されていた。
塗装9を施した後、パフ研磨して鏡面に仕」二げたが研
磨面は、平滑で細い凹凸の発生は認められなかった。ま
た耐湿試験機中において、湯度:50°C1湿度=95
%に保持した場合の耐久性は、従来のものに比して格段
に向」ニしていた。

ノールブチラールシート接着剤(アイカ株式会社製)を
用い、+40°C,20kg/cm’、IQ分の条件で
接着した以外は実施例1と同じにして木質材薄板をつく
り、また同様にして複合成形品を作製して試験に供した
。その結果、実施例1のものと同様優れた複合成形品で
あることがわかった。
16時間浸漬したものを用いた以外は、実施例1と同じ
にして、木質材薄板を作製した。
い表裏単板を用いた木質材薄板の最小曲げ半径I<を調
べたところ、第1表のような値を示した。
様にして複合成形品をつくり試験にlF、したところ、
同様の結果が得られた。
法にあっては、金属薄板の両面に表裏単板がそれぞれ接
着一体化された木質材薄板が使用されるので、接着剤と
して加熱加圧する接着剤を用いても筒状にまるまって扱
いが困難となることがなく、使用する樹脂の範囲が拡大
され、耐熱性に優れた)g合成形品を容易につくること
が出来る。
雑な形状の複合成形品に用いても破損することがなく、
美しい木目柄のものが得られる。
凹凸模様があられれることがない。さらに、木質材薄板
を構成する単板として、アルカリ処理を施したものを用
いれば柔軟性が付与され、木質材薄板の形状変化に対す
る追従性はさらに増大し、しかも他の長所はそのまま保
有する等、複合成形品の製造方法として極めて優れたも
のである。

第6図は、表面材を射出成形金型にインサートした図、
第7図は、射出成形された後塗装された複合成形品の縦
断面図、第8図および第9図は射出成形金型に直接木質
材薄板をインサートして、FN複合成形品つくる場合の
図で、第8図は射出成形金型に木質材薄板をインサート
して樹脂を射出して木質材薄板を変形して表面材とした
縦断面図、第9図はq・I出成形された後塗装された複

Claims (3)
- (1)表面部に木質材薄板の層を有し、内部に合成樹脂
からなる芯材を有する複合成形品を成形するにあたり、 金属薄板の両面に木材単板を積層した構造を有する表面
材料を成形金型内に配置し、次いで合成樹脂を該表面材
の裏側に成形して、該表面材と合成樹脂とを一体化する
ことを特徴とする複合成形品の製造方法。 - (2)金属薄板の両面に積層する木材単板が、アルカリ
処理した木材単板である請求項(1)記載の複合成形品
の製造方法。 - (3)金属薄板が、アルミニウム、アルミニウム系合金
、マグネシウム、マグネシウム系合金、チタン、チタン
系合金、銅、銅系合金、鉄、鉄系合金、真鍮、或いはス
テンレスである請求項(1)または(2)記載の複合成
形品の製造方法。
