Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は自動車用日除け、いわゆるサンバイ
ザーとして知られる車室内日除けの加工方法に関
するものである。
従来例によるこの種の自動車用日除けは、第1
図ないし第3図に示すようにして加工されてい
た。すなわち、第1図に示されているように、鋼
線によりフレーム状に成形加工された芯材1の
上、下に所定形状に裁断成形されたウレタンフオ
ームなどの緩衝材2a,2bと、また下方の緩衝
材2bの下にシート状のホツトメルトタイプの接
着剤3とを配し、さらにこれらの上、下に完成外
形々状よりもひと廻り大きく裁断された合成繊維
織物などの表皮材4a,4bを重ね合わせて積層
する。
ついでこのように積層された構成材料を、第2
図に示すように、その周縁部分で接着巾約4〜5
mm程度に亘り、高周波ウエルダによつて接着した
のち、さらにこれを第3図に示すように、裁断プ
レスにかけて、その周縁接着部が接着巾約0.5〜
1mm程度残るように裁断成形させ、かつ形を整え
て完成品としていた。
しかし乍らこのような従来の加工方法にあつて
は、周縁部分での接着に高周波ウエルダによる高
周波加熱接着を採用しているために、緩衝材をあ
らかじめ裁断成形する必要があり、かつ接着部で
の整形裁断も必要であつて、加工々程が煩雑で多
工程となり、工程間での型合わせに時間がかかつ
て時には形ずれによる不良品を生じ、また接着に
ホツトメルトタイプの接着剤も組み込まなければ
ならず、さらには高周波ウエルダでの火花放電に
よつても不良品を生じ、しかも接着周縁部には、
加熱溶融に伴なう硬化が発生して、その部分の肌
ざわりが悪く、かつ外形も崩れ易いなどの不都合
があつた。
また一方、前記高周波ウエルダに代わる接着手
段として、超音波振動を利用した超音波ウエルダ
があるが、この超音波ウエルダは本来、例えば硬
質合成樹脂などの一般に硬質物の接着、融着にこ
そ有効であるが、前記日除け材料であるところ
の、ウレタンフオームなどの緩衝材2a,2bと
か、合成繊維織物などの表皮材4a,4bとかの
一般に軟質物の接着、融着には不向きで使用でき
ないものとされていた。
そこで発明者は従来のこのような実情を考慮し
て鋭意研究を重ねた結果、超音波ウエルダを使用
しても、その出力端である超音波ホーンと被接着
物との間に、接着介装材としての絶縁性材料を介
在させると共に、接着型との間で加圧挾着するこ
とによつて、軟質物の接着が可能であることを見
出し、しかもその接着作用と同時に溶断作用をも
行ない得ることを確認した。
この発明はこのような超音波エネルギによる対
象軟質物の同時接着溶断を利用して自動車用日除
けを加工する方法を提案するものである。
以下、この発明方法の一実施例につき、第4図
および第5図を参照して詳細に説明する。
第4図はこの実施例方法を適用した装置構成の
概要説明図、第5図は接着加工された自動車用日
除けの断面図である。
この第4図において、定盤金型6の上面接着型
7上には、前記日除け材料中からシート状のホツ
トメルトタイプ接着剤3を除いた各材料が載置さ
れる。すなわち、接着型7上には、まず裁断前の
シート状のままの合成繊維織物などの表皮材4
b、同様に裁断前のシート状のままのウレタンフ
オームなどの緩衝材2bを順次に載置させ、つい
で型内所定位置を占めて緩衝材2b上に芯材1を
配置したのち、さらに裁断前のシート状のままの
ウレタンフオームなどの緩衝材2a、同様に裁断
前のシート状のままの合成繊維織物などの表皮材
4aを順次に載置させて被接着積層体を形成す
る。
続いてこの被接着積層体上には、例えば化繊
クロスに油性ワニス、あるいはエポキシワニスを
含浸させた商品名エンパイヤクロス、ハイクロス
などからなる接着介装材としての絶縁性材料8の
1ないし数枚を重ねて挿入し、これらの被接着積
層体と絶縁性材料8とを、超音波ウエルダ9を
使用して、その発振器を作動させた状態の出力端
である超音波ホーン型10により、前記接着型7
上に上方から押し付けて加圧挾着させる。
この操作により超音波振動によつて発生した熱
エネルギは、接着介装材である絶縁性材料8と接
着型7、主として絶縁性材料8に蓄積されると共
に、被接着積層体に伝熱されて、その相互を所
定接着巾、すなわち約0.5〜1mm程度の巾相当の
挾着部分で一部融着により接着し、同時にこの接
着部11の外側で溶断し得るのであつて、ここに
被接着積層体を形成している緩衝材2a,2b
および表皮材4a,4bは、加工に際してあらか
じめ所定形状に裁断しておく必要はなく、しかも
接着部11の近接部においては硬化部を生ずるこ
とがない。このようにして得た自動車用日除けの
断面を第5図に示しており、被接着積層体はそ
の周縁部が僅かな接着巾で接着され、充分な接着
強度を有し、かつ高周波ウエルダと異なつて火花
放電がないために、変色、褪色その他の損傷がな
く、極めて良好な外観、形状を呈するのである。
以上詳述したようにこの発明方法によるとき
は、日除けの加工に際して、緩衝材、および表皮
材をそれぞれあらかじめ裁断しなくてもよく、し
かも同時接着溶断であるために、接着後の整形裁
断も必要とせず、従つて加工工程が頗る簡略化さ
れるほか、成形品と裁断型との型合わせを行なわ
なくてすむことから、型づれを生ずる惧れがなく
て不良率を減少でき、また接着のためのホツトメ
ルトタイプ接着剤シートを省略でき、さらには高
周波接着のように内部加熱による接着と異なつ
て、超音波振動に基づく外部加熱による接着であ
るので、接着部付近の硬化がなく、肌ざわりが良
好で美しく機能的で安全性に優れた自動車用日除
けを得られるなどの特長を有するものである。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 所定の接着型上に、シート状をした表皮材、
    および同様にシート状をした緩衝材を順次に載置
    させ、ついでその上の所定位置に芯材を配置さ
    せ、さらにその上にシート状をした緩衝材、およ
    び同様にシート状をした表皮材を順次に載置し
    て、これらを被接着積層体とすると共に、この被
    接着積層体上に、接着介装材としての任意枚数の
    絶縁性材料を載置させ、これらの被接着積層体と
    絶縁性材料とを、超音波ウエルダの超音波ホーン
    型により、接着型上に上方から加圧挾着させて同
    時接着溶断するようにしたことを特徴とする自動
    車用日除けの加工方法。
