Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は自動車用日除け、いわゆるサンバイザーとし
て知られる車室内日除けの加工方法に関するものである
従来例によるこの種の自動車用日除けは、第1図ないし
第3図に示すようにして加工されていた。すなわち、第
1図に示されているように、鋼線によりフレーム状に成
形加工された芯材lの北、下に所定形状に裁断成形され
たウレタンフオームなどの緩衝材2a、2bと、また下
方の緩衝材2bの下にシート状のホットメルトタイプの
接着剤3とを配し、さらにこれらの上。
下に完成外形々状よりもひと廻り大きく裁断された合成
繊維織物などの表皮材4a、4bを重ね合わせて積層す
る。
ついでこのように積層された構成材料を、第2図に示す
ように、その周縁部分で接着巾約4〜511m程度に亘
り、高周波ウェルズによって接着しfのち、さらにこれ
を第3図に示すように、裁断プレスにかけて、その周縁
接着部が接着巾約0.5〜1111m程度残るように裁
断成形させ、かつ形を整えて完成品としていた。
しかし乍らこのような従来の加工方法にあっては、周縁
部分での接着に高周波ウェルズによる高周波加熱接着を
採用しているために、緩衝材をあらかじめ裁断成形する
必要があり、かつ接着部での整形裁断も必要であって、
加工々程が煩雑で多工程となり、工程間での型合わせに
時間がかかつて時には形ずれにょ名不良品を生じ、また
接着にホットメルトタイプの接着剤も組み込まなければ
ならず、さらには高周波ウェルズでの火花放電によって
も不良品を生じ、しかも接着周縁部には、加熱溶融に伴
なう硬化が発生して、その部分の肌ざわりが悪く、かつ
外形も崩れ易いなどの不都合があった。
また一方、前記高周波ウェルズに代わる接着手段として
、超音波振動を利用した超音波ウェルズがあるが、この
超音波ウェルズは本来7例えば硬質合成樹脂などの一般
に硬質物の接着。
7、     融着にこそ有効であるが、前記日除は材
料であ1     るところの、ウレタンフオームなど
の緩衝材2a、2bとか、合成繊維織物などの表皮材4
a。
4bとかの一般に軟質物の接着、融着には不向きで使用
できないものとされていた。
そこで発明者は従来のこのような実情を考慮して鋭意研
究を重ねた結果、超音波ウェルズを使用しても、その出
力端である超音波ホーンと被接着物との間に、接着介装
材としての絶縁性材料を介在させると共に、接着型との
間で加圧挾着することによって、軟質物の接着が可能で
あることを見出し、しかもその接着作用と同時に溶断作
用をも行ない得ることを確認した。
この発明はこあような超音波エネルギにぶる対象軟質物
の同時接着溶断を利用して自動車用日除けを加工する方
法を提案するものである。
以下、この発明方法の一実施例につき、第4図および第
5図を参照して詳細に説明する。
第4図はこの実施例方法を適用した装置構成の概要説明
図、第5図は接着加工された自動車用日除けの断面図で
ある。
この第4図において、定盤金型6の上面接着型7に、に
は、前記日除は材料中からシート状のホットメルトタイ
プ接着剤3を除いた各材料が載置される。すなわち、接
着型7上には、まず裁断前のシート状のままの合成繊維
織物などの表皮材4b、同様に裁断前のシート状のまま
のウレタンフオームなどの緩衝材2bを順次に載置させ
、ついで型内所定位置を占めて緩衝材2bLに芯材1を
配置したのち、さらに裁断前のシート状のままのウレタ
ンフオームなどの緩衝材2a、同様に裁断前のシート状
のままの合成繊維織物などの表皮材4aを順次に載置さ
せて被接着積層体Σを形成する。
続いてこの被接着積層体1Lには、例えば化繊クロスに
油性ワニス、あるいはエポキシワニスを含浸させた商品
名エンパイヤクロス、ノ\イクロスなどからなる接着介
装材としての絶縁性材料8の1ないし数枚を重ねて挿入
し、これらの被接着積層体−ジと絶縁性材料8とを、超
音波ウェルズ9を使用して、その発振器を作動させた状
態の出力端である超音波ホーン型10により、前記接着
型7上にと方から押し付けて加圧挾着させる。
この操作により超音波振動によって発生した熱エネルギ
は、接着介装材である絶縁性材料8と接着型7.主とし
て絶縁性材料8に蓄積されると°共に、被接着積層体且
に伝熱されて、その相互を所定接着中、すなわち約0.
5〜1 mm程度の巾相当の挟着部分で一部融着により
接着し、同時にこの接着部11の外側で溶断し得るので
あって、ここに被接着積層体重を形成している緩衝材2
a、2bおよび表皮材4a、4bは、加工に際してあら
かじめ所定形状に裁断しておく必要はなく、シかも接着
部11の近接部においては硬化部を生ずることがない。
このようにして得た自動車用日除けの断面を第5図に示
しており、彼接着積層体旦はその周縁部が僅かな接着部
で接着され、充分な接着強度を有し、かつ高周波ウェル
ズと異なって火花放電がないために、変色、褪色その他
の損傷がなく、極めて良好な外観、形状を呈するのであ
る。
以北詳述したようにこの発明方法によるときは、日除け
の加工に際して、緩衝材、および表皮材をそれぞれあら
かじめ裁断しなくてもよく、しかも同時接着溶断である
ために、接着後の整形裁断も必要とせ゛ず、従って加工
工程が頗る簡略化されるほか、成形品と裁断型との型合
わせを行なわなくてすむことから、型づれを生ずる惧れ
がなくて不良率を減少でき、また接着のためのホットメ
ルトタイプ接着剤シートを省略でき、さらには高周波接
着のように内部加熱による接着と異なって、超音波振動
に基づく外部加熱による接着であるので、接着部付近の
硬化がなく、肌ざわりが良好で美しく機能的で安全性に
優れた自動車用日除けを得られるなどの特長を有するも
のである。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 所定の接着型上に、シート状をした表皮材。 および同様にシート状をした緩衝材を順次に載置させ、
    ついでその上の所定位置に芯材を配置させ、さらにその
    Lにシート状をした緩衝材。 および同様にシート状をした表皮材を順次に載置して、
    これらを被接着積層体とすると共に、この被接着積層体
    りに、接着介装材としての存意枚数の絶縁性材料を載置
    させ、これらの被接着積層体と絶縁性材料とを、超音波
    ウェルズの超音波ホーン型により、接着型りに北方から
    加圧挟着させて同時接着溶断するようにしたことを特徴
    とする自前車用日除けの加工方法。
