Claims (9)
- 乗員を保護するために車両内に設置されるように適合されており、座席の前方に膨張及び展開するバッグ状クッションを含み、前記乗員を拘束するように適合されているエアバッグ装置であって、前記クッションは、膨張した状態において、
前記車両の後部に向かって膨張する主膨張セクションと、
車両幅方向における前記主膨張セクションの両側で前記車両の前記後部に向かって突出する一対のローブと、
前記車両幅方向において前記主膨張セクションと前記ローブのそれぞれとの間にそれぞれ設けられており、前記車両の前記後部に向かって膨張する一対の二次膨張セクションと、
前記車両幅方向における前記クッションの内部の側面に取り付けられた第1の端部、及び前記二次膨張セクションの内面に取り付けられた第2の端部をそれぞれが有する一対のテザーであって、前記突出ローブが前記主膨張セクションを中心に振れることを防止するように適合されている一対のテザーとを備え、
前記一対のテザーのそれぞれは、単一の布片で形成されており、前記単一の布片は、折り畳まれており、それにより、折り畳まれた前記テザーは、折り畳まれた側と開放側とを有し、
折り畳まれた前記テザーには、内層及び外層が設けられており、それにより、前記クッションの前記膨張した状態において、折り畳まれた前記テザーに張力がかけられて、折り畳まれた前記テザーはY字形状を形成し、
前記テザーの前記布の前記開放側は、前記テザーの前記第2の端部において設けられており、それにより、前記テザーの前記開放側において、前記内層及び前記外層の縁面のそれぞれは、前記二次膨張セクションを硬化させるために前記二次膨張セクションの前記内面に形成及び固定されている、エアバッグ装置。 - 前記テザーの前記第2の端部において、前記内層は、前記主膨張セクションと前記二次膨張セクションとの間の第1の境界に接続されており、前記外層は、前記二次膨張セクションと前記突出ローブとの間の第2の境界に接続されている、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記テザーの前記布の前記折り畳まれた側は、前記テザーの前記第2の端部において設けられており、それにより、折り畳まれた面は、前記テザーの前記折り畳まれた側において前記内層と前記外層との間に形成されており、前記二次膨張セクションの前記内面に全体的に固定されている、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記車両幅方向における前記テザーの折り畳まれた面幅は、前記二次膨張セクションの幅に概ね等しい、請求項3に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記テザーのそれぞれは、前記第1の端部における第1の垂直寸法と、前記第2の端部における第2の垂直寸法とを有し、前記第2の垂直寸法は、前記クッションの前記膨張した状態において、前記第1の垂直寸法よりも大きい、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記ローブのそれぞれは、前記主膨張セクションの後端面及び前記二次膨張セクションの後端面よりもさらに前記車両の前記後部に向かって突出する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記二次膨張セクションのそれぞれは、前記車両幅方向における前記主膨張セクションの拡大範囲及び前記車両幅方向における前記ローブのそれぞれの拡大範囲よりも小さい前記車両幅方向における拡大範囲内で、前記車両の前記後部に向かって凸状に膨張する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記二次膨張セクションの曲率半径は、前記クッションの前記膨張した状態において、前記主膨張セクションの曲率半径及び前記ローブの曲率半径よりも小さい、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記クッションの展開中に、前記テザーに張力がかけられ、このため、張力がかけられた前記テザーは、前記主膨張セクションと前記ローブのそれぞれとの間に配置された、前記突出ローブのローブクラップを防止するための前記二次膨張セクションを硬化させる、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置。
