Description
(x、y、z、uは原子%であり、x:1-(y+z+u)、y:0.09~0.14、z:0.09~0.14、u:0.01超過0.2未満)
前記リチウム二次電池用負極板は、増粘剤0.5~1.5重量%、バインダー1~2重量%を更に含むリチウム二次電池用負極板を提供する。
(x、y、z、uは原子%であり、x:1-(y+z+u)、y:0.09~0.14、z:0.09~0.14、u:0.01超過0.2未満)
二次電池用負極板を構成するための必須要素であるが、増粘剤の重量%が増加するほど相対的にシリコン系負極活物質および黒鉛系負極活物質の投入量が減少することになり、これは二次電池の性能減少につながるので、好ましくない。従って、本発明では、リチウム二次電池用負極板に投入される増粘剤の重量%の上限を1重量%に限定したが、必ずしもこれに限定されるものではなく、増粘剤の種類および性能に応じて、或いはシリコン系負極活物質、黒鉛系負極活物質、バインダーに応じて少量投入されてもよい。
また、本発明のリチウム二次電池用負極板にカーボンナノチューブ(CNT)を更に含めることができる。カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)は、充放電過程で極板の膨張-収縮時に活物質が離脱することを防止する役割をする。カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)は、0.05~0.2重量%の範囲を有することが好ましい。カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)が0.05重量%未満で使用される場合、活物質の離脱を防止する効果が微々たるものになって好ましくない。また、カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)が0.2重量%を超えて使用される場合、カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)の投入量に比例して活物質の離脱防止効果が増加しないので、費用対比効率が落ちて好ましくない。
本発明の実施例に利用されたシリコン系負極活物質においてSiは原子%(at%)で60~70%の範囲を有し、TiおよびFeは9~14%の範囲を有する。一方、前記Alは1%超過および20%未満の範囲を有するが、好ましくは5~19%の範囲であり、最も好ましくは10~19%の範囲である。
放電(リチウム放出):0.1C、1.5V cut-off
化成工程以後には、以下のような条件でサイクルテストを行った。
放電:0.5C、1.0V cut-off
上記表2で1CY-充電(mAh/g)は、活物質1g当たりの化成充電容量であり、コインセルの組立後、最初の充電段階である化成工程のうち充電段階の電荷量を測定して、コインセル極板に含まれている活物質の重量で割った値である。
下記表3~表5は、上記式(1)の組成を有するシリコン系負極活物質と黒鉛系負極活物質をブレンディングして負極極板を製造したときの電池の性能を確認するための実験に対して、実施例と比較例の活物質容量、極板容量、効率、1CY膨張、50CY膨張、容量維持率を示したものである。表3のシリコン系負極活物質は、式(1)による組成とat%を適用した負極活物質であり、一般金属系負極活物質は、Alを除いてSi、Ti、Feで構成された負極活物質である。
Claims (11)
- 下記式(1)の組成式を有するシリコン系負極活物質3~9重量%および黒鉛系負極活物質87.5~95.5重量%を含む、前記シリコン系負極活物質の非晶質化度は25%以上の範囲を有することを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池用負極板。
組成式:SixTiyFezAlu・・・式(1)
(x:1-(y+z+u)、y:0.09~0.14、z:0.09~0.14、u:0.01超過0.2未満、y=z、金属間化合物Si2TiFeが形成されている) - 前記リチウム二次電池用負極板は、増粘剤0.5~1.5重量%およびバインダー1~2重量%を更に含む、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記リチウム二次電池用負極板にカーボンナノチューブ(CNT)0.05~0.2重量%を更に含む、請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記シリコン系負極活物質は、50サイクル後の膨張率が70~150%の範囲内である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記シリコン系負極活物質において原子%(at%)でAlが5~19%の範囲である、請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記シリコン系負極活物質において原子%(at%)でAlが10~19%の範囲である、請求項5に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記シリコン系負極活物質は、原子%(at%)でTiとFeがそれぞれ9~12.5%の範囲を有する、請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記増粘剤は、CMC(carboxymethyl cellulose)系列の増粘剤である、請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 前記バインダーは、SBR(styrene-butadiene rubber)系列のバインダーである、請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用負極板。
- 二次電池用負極板は、下記式(1)の組成式を有するシリコン系負極活物質3~9重量%、黒鉛系負極活物質87.5~95.5重量%、増粘剤0.5~1.5重量%およびバインダー1~2重量%を含む、前記シリコン系負極活物質の非晶質化度は25%以上の範囲を有する、リチウム二次電池。
