Claims (13)
- 正極活物質層が配置された集電体を有する正極と、電解質を保持する電解質層と、前記正極活物質層の面積よりも大きい面積を有する負極活物質層が配置された集電体を有する負極と、を有する発電要素を有し、
前記正極活物質層および前記負極活物質層は、前記電解質層を介して対向し、
前記負極活物質層は、前記電解質層を介して前記正極活物質層と対向する対向部と、前記対向部の外周に位置しかつ前記正極活物質層と対向しない非対向部と、を有し、
前記非対向部の膨張率は、前記対向部の膨張率より小さく、前記膨張率は、充放電を行った際における前記負極活物質層の単位体積あたりの体積増加率であり、
前記負極活物質層は、空孔を有し、
前記非対向部の空孔率は、前記対向部の空孔率よりも大きい、二次電池。 - 前記負極活物質層は、バインダーを有し、
前記非対向部における前記負極活物質層の単位体積当たりの前記バインダーの重量は、前記対向部における前記負極活物質層の単位体積当たりの前記バインダーの重量より小さい、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記バインダーは、水が溶媒あるいは分散媒体である水系バインダーであり、ゴム系バインダーおよび水溶性高分子バインダーを含んでおり、
前記非対向部における前記負極活物質層の単位体積当たりの前記水溶性高分子バインダーの重量は、前記対向部における前記負極活物質層の単位体積当たりの前記水溶性高分子バインダーの重量より小さい、請求項2に記載の二次電池。 - 前記ゴム系バインダーの熱分解温度は、前記水溶性高分子バインダーの熱分解温度より高い、請求項3に記載の二次電池。
- 前記水溶性高分子バインダーは、カルボキシメチルセルロース系化合物である、請求項3又は請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ゴム系バインダーは、スチレン・ブタジエンゴムである、請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記負極活物質層は、シリコンを含有する負極活物質を有する請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 正極活物質層が配置された集電体を有する正極と、電解質を保持する電解質層と、前記正極活物質層の面積よりも大きい面積を有する負極活物質層が配置された集電体を有する負極と、を有し、かつ、前記正極活物質層および前記負極活物質層が前記電解質層を介して対向している発電要素を有し、前記負極活物質層は、前記電解質層を介して前記正極活物質層と対向する対向部と、前記対向部の外周に位置しかつ前記正極活物質層と対向しない非対向部と、を有する二次電池の製造方法であって、
前記非対向部の膨張率を、前記対向部の膨張率より小さくする膨張率制御工程を、有し、前記膨張率は、充放電を行った際における前記負極活物質層の単位体積あたりの体積増加率であり、
前記負極活物質層は、空孔を有し、
前記負極活物質層は、バインダーを有し、
前記膨張率制御工程において、前記非対向部の空孔率は、前記対向部の空孔率よりも大きくされ、前記非対向部に含まれる前記バインダーの一部を除去することによって空孔が形成されてなる、二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記バインダーは、水が溶媒あるいは分散媒体である水系バインダーであり、ゴム系バインダーおよび水溶性高分子バインダーを含んでおり、
前記膨張率制御工程において、前記水溶性高分子バインダーが除去される、請求項8に記載の二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記ゴム系バインダーの熱分解温度は、前記水溶性高分子バインダーの熱分解温度より高く、
前記膨張率制御工程において、前記ゴム系バインダーの熱分解温度未満かつ前記水溶性高分子バインダーの熱分解温度以上の温度で、前記非対向部を加熱することによって、前記水溶性高分子バインダーは、熱分解されて、除去される、請求項9に記載の二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記水溶性高分子バインダーは、カルボキシメチルセルロース系化合物である、請求項9又は請求項10に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記ゴム系バインダーは、スチレン・ブタジエンゴムである、請求項9〜11のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記負極活物質層は、シリコンを含有する負極活物質を有する、請求項8〜12のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
