Description
JIS D 4234(ISO28580)に規定された試験方法に準じて転がり抵抗を測定した。比較例1の結果を100として指数で評価し、数値が小さいほど転がり抵抗が小さく、良好であることを示す。
タイヤを車両(3000ccクラスのSUV)に装着して評価路面を走行し、旋回や制動、加速試験を実施してドライバーによる官能評価を行った。比較例1の結果を100として指数で評価し、数値が大きいほど操縦安定性能に優れることを示す。

前述の実施形態においてリムストリップゴムの形態を異ならせ、それぞれ比較例1〜3及び実施例1とした。比較例1は、リムストリップゴムの上端がタイヤ最大幅位置に到達しない構成とした。比較例2,3は、リムストリップゴムが、界面の露出位置からタイヤ径方向外側に向かって厚みを漸減させた後、一定の厚みでタイヤ径方向に延びる構成とした。実施例1は、図1,2で示した構成とした。その他のタイヤの構成については、各例において共通である。表1において、厚みTbは、ビードフィラーの上端位置におけるリムストリップゴムの厚みである。

Claims (8)
- トレッド部からサイドウォール部を経てビード部に至るカーカス層と、前記ビード部から前記サイドウォール部に亘ってタイヤ径方向に延在するサイド補強層と、前記サイドウォール部の外表面を形成するサイドウォールゴムと、前記ビード部の外表面を形成するリムストリップゴムと、を備え、
前記ビード部には、環状のビードコアと、前記ビードコアのタイヤ径方向外側に設けられたビードフィラーとが埋設されており、
前記カーカス層と前記サイドウォールゴムとの間で前記リムストリップゴムがタイヤ径方向に延在しており、前記ビードコアの外径位置を基準にした前記リムストリップゴムの高さがタイヤ外径位置の高さの70%以上であり、
前記サイド補強層の上端が前記ビードフィラーの上端よりもタイヤ径方向外側に配置されていて、タイヤ最大幅位置から前記サイド補強層の上端までのタイヤ径方向距離が5mm以下であり、
前記ビードフィラーの上端と前記サイド補強層の上端との間の第1の高さ領域における前記リムストリップゴムの最大厚みTwが、前記サイド補強層の上端よりもタイヤ径方向外側における前記リムストリップゴムの最大厚みTmよりも大きく形成されている空気入りタイヤ。 - ビードベースラインを基準にした前記リムストリップゴムの高さがタイヤ断面高さの75%以上である請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記第1の高さ領域における前記リムストリップゴムの外周面が、タイヤ幅方向外側に膨らんだ第1の湾曲面により形成されている請求項1又は2に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記サイドウォールゴムと前記リムストリップゴムとの界面の露出位置と、前記ビードフィラーの上端との間の第2の高さ領域における前記リムストリップゴムの外周面が、タイヤ幅方向内側に窪んだ第2の湾曲面により形成されていて、前記第2の湾曲面が前記第1の湾曲面と滑らかに連なっている請求項3に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記サイド補強層の上端が、タイヤ最大幅位置に配置されている、または、タイヤ最大幅位置よりもタイヤ径方向外側に配置されている請求項1〜4いずれか1項に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記リムストリップゴムの厚みTwが、前記サイド補強層の上端位置における前記リムストリップゴムの厚みTsの1.1倍以上である請求項1〜5いずれか1項に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記リムストリップゴムの厚みTwが、前記サイドウォールゴムと前記リムストリップゴムとの界面の露出位置と、前記ビードフィラーの上端との間の第2の高さ領域内における前記リムストリップゴムの最小厚みTnの1.1倍以上である請求項1〜6いずれか1項に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記ビード部において巻き上げられた前記カーカス層の巻き上げ端が、前記トレッド部に埋設されたベルト層に到達している請求項1〜7いずれか1項に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
