Description
本出願は、2013年1月17日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/753,576号に対する優先権を主張するものである。全ての出願は、参照により、その全体として、全ての目的のために本明細書に組み込まれる。
(a)C−O−CおよびC=C官能基を含むアクリルモノマーと、
(b)C−O−CおよびC=C官能基を含むアクリルオリゴマーと、を含み、
前記プライマー組成物はエネルギー硬化型であり、アクリルモノマーおよびアクリルオリゴマーの合計におけるC−O−C対C=Cの官能基の計算比が1.6を超える、プライマー組成物を提供する。
本発明はさらに、基材に本発明のプライマー組成物を塗布することを含む、エネルギー硬化型プライマー組成物を印刷する方法も提供する。
(a)紙材の紙表面に本発明のプライマー組成物の層を塗布することと、
(b)プライマーの層を硬化させてインキ受容界面層を生成させることと、
(c)複数の反射性粒子を含む反射性金属インキを、硬化したプライマー層の少なくとも一部に塗布することと、
(d)金属インキを乾燥させて、硬化したプライマー上に反射性金属インキ層を形成させることと、を含む方法を提供する。
一連のEBおよびUVプライマー配合物を、20度および60度での光沢、ならびに輝度指数について比較した。最初に、15bcmアニロックスを備えたTMI Flexiprooferを使用して各プライマーをLeneta N2A−3チャート上に印刷し、プライマーを硬化させ、次いで、Meyerの3番バーを用いてLeneta Form N2A−3の上(白色の板(white board)の上)に塗布したSun ChemicalのSC17604アセテート溶剤系の真空金属蒸着顔料銀色インキを重ね刷りすることによって印刷を行った。参照基準であるTransmetおよびMetpol板の輝度指数も測定した。
総可視光反射率(Y)および輝度指数は、X−Rite XP−64球体分光光度計を使用して、4mmの開口設定を用いて測定した。鏡面反射成分含有(SCI)モードと鏡面反射成分不含(SCE)モードの両方において、ASTM E313−98に従って測定を行った。鏡面光反射の程度に基づいてサンプルがいかに金属的に見えるかを示唆する輝度指数を、以下の式から計算した:
輝度指数(%)=[YSCI−YSCE]/YSCI*100
TMI UV Flexiproofer 100を使用して、いくつかのUVプライマー配合物をBYK Penopacチャート2817に塗布した。チャートは、コーティングされた白色領域とコーティングされていない領域を有していた。両方の領域上で、BYK−Gardner micro−TRI光沢計を使用して60度での光沢を測定した。強度100W/inのUVランプで、200fpmの速度でサンプルを硬化させた。
Claims (9)
- フレキソまたはグラビア塗布コーティング用のプライマー組成物であって、
エトキシ化ペンタエリスリトールテトラアクリレート、エトキシ化トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート、グリセロールプロポキシトリアクリレート、プロポキシル化ネオペンチルグリコールジアクリレート、ポリエチレングリコール (200) ジアクリレート、ヘキサンジオールジアクリレート、トリプロピレングリコールジアクリレート、ジプロピレングリコールジアクリレート、エトキシ化ビスフェノール-A ジアクリレート、および、エトキシ化トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートとジエチルアミンとの反応生成物(PHOTOMER(登録商標) 5006)から選択されるアクリルモノマーまたはオリゴマーを2種以上含み、
前記プライマー組成物はエネルギー硬化型であり、
前記プライマー組成物中のアクリルモノマーおよびアクリルオリゴマーの合計におけるC−O−C対C=Cの官能基の計算比が1.6を超え、
前記プライマー組成物は溶剤を含まないかまたは500ppm未満の量で含み、
前記プライマー組成物は25℃で測定した場合に30.1〜63.7cPsの粘度を有する、プライマー組成物(但し、ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーを含むプライマー組成物は除く)。 - 前記プライマー組成物中のアクリルモノマーおよびアクリルオリゴマーの合計におけるC−O−C対C=Cの官能基の計算比は1.8を超える、請求項1に記載のプライマー組成物。
- 25℃〜45℃において10秒−1で測定した場合、コーティング粘度に少なくとも50%の低下が見られる、請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物。
- 硬化すると、60以上の総可視光反射率を示す、請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物。
- 最高で33mN/mまでの静的表面張力を有する、請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物。
- 45℃で17〜25cPsの粘度を有する、請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物。
- 請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物が硬化した層を含む印刷物であって、任意に、パッケージに使用されるものであってよく、任意に、硬化したプライマー層の少なくとも一部に反射性金属インキが重ね刷りされていてよい、印刷物。
- 請求項1または2に記載のプライマー組成物を基材に塗布することを含む、エネルギー硬化型プライマー組成物を印刷する方法であって、前記印刷する方法は、フレキソまたはグラビアである、方法。
- 鮮やかな金属コーティングされた紙材を形成させる方法であって、
(a)前記紙材の紙表面に請求項1に記載のプライマー組成物の層をフレキソ塗布またはグラビア塗布する工程と、
(b)プライマーの前記層を硬化させてインキ受容界面層を生成させる工程と、
(c)複数の反射性粒子を含む反射性金属インキを、硬化したプライマー層の少なくとも一部に塗布する工程と、
(d)前記反射性金属インキを乾燥させて、硬化したプライマー上に反射性金属インキ層を形成させる工程と、を含む方法。
