Description
本開示は、層状装置のためのシールシステムに関する。層状装置は、スイッチング可能な層を有し得て、光学フィルタまたは合わせガラスを含み得る。
スイッチング可能なフィルムは、一般に、スイッチング可能な材料が間に配置された2つの基板を備え得る。スイッチング可能な材料の性質によっては、スイッチング可能な材料の外周の周りにシールを設けて、水、空気、酸素または外部環境の他の局面からスイッチング可能な材料が分離された状態を保つことが有利であり得る。これは、保存機能、または劣化もしくは性能低下の防止に有益であり得る。
本開示は、スイッチング可能なフィルムのためのシールに関する。スイッチング可能なフィルムは、光学フィルタまたはスイッチング可能な合わせガラスなどのスイッチング可能な装置に含まれ得る。
いくつかの局面において、第1の基板は、第2の基板に対して、少なくとも2つの隣接する端縁に沿ってオフセットされる。オフセット端縁は、バスバー取付けプラットフォームを提供する。いくつかの局面において、第1の基板は、第2の基板に対して、外周のかなりの部分に沿ってオフセットされ得る。いくつかの局面において、バスバー取付けプラットフォームを提供するために、1つ以上の張り出しタブが第1の基板から第2の基板の外周を越えて延在し得る。
いくつかの局面において、第1のシールは、導電性金属酸化物と接触する。
いくつかの局面において、合わせガラスは、第1のシールおよび電気コネクタを密閉する第2のシールをさらに備える。
いくつかの局面において、第1のシールは、気体不透過性である。
いくつかの局面において、第1のシールおよび/または第2のシールは、電気絶縁性である。
いくつかの局面において、第1のシールは、スイッチング材料の層の溶媒または可塑剤成分を吸収しないか、または実質的に吸収しない。
いくつかの局面において、第1のシールは、硬化時に水を放出しない。
本開示は、スイッチング可能なフィルムのためのシールシステムにも関する。シールシステムは、欠陥のあるシール部材を検出するための検出システムをさらに備え得る。
いくつかの局面において、スイッチング材料は、指示薬材料もしくはトリガ材料、または指示薬材料およびトリガ材料を両方とも含む。
いくつかの局面において、第2のシールは、指示薬材料およびトリガ材料を含む。
以下の説明では、いくつかの用語が広範囲にわたって使用されており、本発明のさまざまな局面の理解を容易にするために以下の定義が示されている。用語の例を含む明細書中の例の使用は、単に例示の目的でなされており、本明細書における本発明の実施の形態の範囲および意味を限定するよう意図されたものではない。
いくつかのエチル酢酸ビニルシール材料は、エチレン酢酸ビニル重合体(重量当たり55〜75$)および炭化水素樹脂(25〜45重量%)を含み得る。いくつかのエチル酢酸ビニルシール材料は、エチレン酢酸ビニル重合体(50〜65重量%)、炭化水素樹脂(25〜35重量%)、ポリエチレン重合体(5〜10重量%)、ポリオレフィンワックス(91〜5重量%)、および酸化防止剤(0.5〜1.5重量%)を含み得る。
いくつかの実施の形態では、スイッチング材料の成分は、その後のステップにおいて組み合わせられる部分とのサブコンビネーション(「部分」)で組み合わせられ得る。1つ以上の部分におけるスイッチング材料の調製は、スイッチング材料の1つ以上の成分を可溶化すること、副反応を防止すること、または配合物が完成する前もしくは配合物が鋳造もしくはコーティングの準備が整う前に架橋(「硬化」)が開始するのを防止することに有利であり得る。いくつかの実施の形態では、スイッチング材料は、以下のステップに従って調製され得る。すなわち、ポリマ、スイッチング化合物、塩および溶媒の第1部分を含む第1の部分を準備するステップと、1つ以上の架橋試薬および溶媒の第2部分を含む第2の部分を準備するステップと、促進剤および任意の補助溶剤を準備するステップと、第1の部分および第2の部分を組み合わせるステップと、組み合わせられた第1および第2の部分と第3の部分を組み合わせるステップとである。
IR遮断:1つ以上の層は、赤外線(IR)遮断部材を備え得る。太陽光制御フィルムが多層構成または合わせガラスに含まれていてもよい。代替的に、IR遮断材料がガラスの層または接着剤層に組み込まれてもよい。IR遮断層は、IR光を反射または吸収し得る。IRの反射は、内部空間の太陽熱利得を減少させ得るのに対して、IRの吸収は、合わせガラスの温度を上昇させ得て、これは、スイッチング材料のスイッチング速度を上げるという点で有利であり得る。いくつかの実施の形態では、1つまたはIR遮断化合物または材料がスイッチング材料に組み込まれてもよい。
方法
シールおよびスイッチング材料の適合性テスト:100〜300mgのシーリング材料のサンプルの初期質量を記録し、スイッチング材料とともに使用される可塑剤もしくは溶媒またはスイッチング材料に90℃で48時間にわたって浸漬する。サンプルを除去し、(キムワイプを用いて)表面液体を除去し、質量を記録して、サイズ、テクスチャまたは状態の変化について検査する。崩壊または溶解は、シーリング材料が可塑剤または溶媒と不適合であることを示し得る。10%以下の質量増加は、シーリング材料が可塑剤または溶媒と適合することを示し得る。
本明細書に記載されているいかなる実施の形態も、その他の実施の形態、方法、構成または局面に対して実現または組み合わせられてもよく、逆の場合も同様であるということが意図されている。図面は、別段の指示がない限り、一定の縮尺に応じて描かれているわけではない。
Claims (29)
- 封止されたフィルムであって、
第1および第2の基板と、
前記第1および第2の基板のうちの少なくとも一方の表面上に配置された第1および第2の電極と、
前記第1および第2の基板の間に配置されたスイッチング材料と、
第1のシールおよび第2のシールとを備え、前記第1のシールは、前記スイッチング材料の端縁に沿って配置され、前記スイッチング材料を前記第2のシールから分離し、
前記封止されたフィルムは、スペーサ無しのスイッチング可能なフィルムである、封止されたフィルム。 - 前記スイッチング材料は、前記第1および第2の電極と接触している、請求項1に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1および前記第2の基板は、オフセット関係にある、請求項1に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記スイッチング材料の前記端縁に沿ってオフセット領域上に配置される、請求項2に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記スイッチング材料を前記第2のシールから分離する、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1の基板は、前記第2の基板に対して、少なくとも2つの隣接する端縁に沿ってオフセットされる、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1および第2の電極は、透明な導電性金属酸化物を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記第1の電極、前記第2の電極、または前記第1および前記第2の電極と接触する、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記第1の電極、前記第2の電極、または前記第1および前記第2の電極に接着している、請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 電気コネクタの第1の対をさらに備える、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の封されたフィルム。
- 電気コネクタの第2の対をさらに備える、請求項10に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記電気コネクタは、前記第2のシールで密閉される、請求項10または11に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシール、前記第2のシール、または前記第1および第2のシールは、独立してエラストマ材料を含む、請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記エラストマ材料は、シリコーンゴム、天然ゴムまたは合成ゴムである、請求項13に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシール、前記第2のシール、または前記第1および前記第2のシールは、独立して、熱可塑性ポリマ、熱硬化性ポリマ、または熱可塑性ポリマおよび熱硬化性ポリマを含む、請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記スイッチング材料と反応しない、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシールは、前記スイッチング材料または前記スイッチング材料の成分を吸収しないか、または実質的に吸収しない、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシール、前記第2のシール、または前記第1および前記第2のシールは、気体不透過性である、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシール、前記第2のシール、または前記第1および前記第2のシールは、不透水性である、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記第1のシール、前記第2のシール、または前記第1および前記第2のシールは、電気絶縁性である、請求項1から15のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記スイッチング材料は、自立型である、請求項1から20のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記フィルムは、切取りセクションとノーズブリッジセクションとを備えるレンズ型フィルムである、請求項1から21のいずれか1項に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- 前記レンズ型フィルムは、高さXの切取りセクションと、高さYのノーズブリッジとを有する、請求項22に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- X:Yの比率は、約5:1〜約1:1である、請求項23に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- X:Yの比率は、約1:5〜約1:1である、請求項23に記載の封止されたフィルム。
- スイッチング可能なフィルムを封止するための方法であって、
a.第1および第2の基板を備え、前記第1および第2の基板のうちの少なくとも一方の表面上に第1および第2の電極が配置され、前記第1および第2の基板の間に配置されたスイッチング材料をさらに備えるスイッチング可能なフィルムを設けるステップと、
b.電極と接触して、前記スイッチング材料に隣接して第1のシールを配置するステップと、
c.前記第1のシールに隣接して第2のシールを配置するステップとを備え、
封止された前記フィルムは、スペーサ無しのスイッチング可能なフィルムである、方法。 - 前記スイッチング材料は、前記第1および前記第2の電極と接触している、請求項26に記載の方法。
- 密閉されたスイッチング可能なフィルムであって、
a.一対の平行な基板の間にスイッチング材料の層を備え、前記スイッチング材料は、基板の第1の表面上に配置された第1および第2の電極と接触し、第1のシールが、前記スイッチング材料の層を取囲み、前記密閉されたスイッチング可能なフィルムはさらに、
b.前記基板の第2の表面に貼り付けられた第1および第2の密閉層と、
c.前記第1および第2の密閉層の間に配置され、前記第1のシールによって前記スイッチング材料から分離される第2のシールとを備え、
前記密閉されたスイッチング可能なフィルムは、スペーサ無しのスイッチング可能なフィルムである、密閉されたスイッチング可能なフィルム。 - スイッチング可能なフィルムを密閉するための方法であって、
a.第1および第2の基板を備え、前記基板のうちの少なくとも一方の基板の表面上に第1および第2の電極が配置され、前記第1および第2の基板の間に、前記第1および第2の電極と接触して配置されたスイッチング材料をさらに備えるスイッチング可能なフィルムを設けるステップと、
b.電極と接触して、前記スイッチング材料に隣接して第1のシールを配置するステップと、
c.前記第1および第2の基板に透明な層を貼り付けるステップと、
d.前記第1のシールに隣接して第2のシールを配置するステップとを備え、前記第2のシールは、前記第1のシールによって前記スイッチング材料から分離され、
密閉された前記スイッチング可能なフィルムは、スペーサ無しのスイッチング可能なフィルムである、方法。
