技術分野
本発明は、角膜組織安定化のためのシステムおよび方法、さらに具体的には、角膜組織に架橋(cross-linking:クロスリンキング)剤を適用(クロスリンキング治療、リボフラビン紫外線治療、角膜強化法)・活性化し、架橋剤をモニター・活性化するためのシステムおよび方法に関連する。
近視、円錐角膜、および遠視などのさまざまな眼疾患は角膜の異常な形成を伴う。レーザー光線による近視手術(LASIK)は、角膜を通過する光が眼底に位置する網膜に適正に焦点を結ぶように、角膜を再形成する多くの矯正処置の1つである。LASIK眼手術中、角膜の薄層の弁(flap:フラップ)を切るためにマイクロケラトームと呼ばれる器具が使用される。その後、角膜をめくり、エキシマレーザーで下部の角膜組織を望ましい形状まで除去する。角膜が望ましい形状に再形成されたら、角膜弁を元の位置に戻し、手術が完了する。
Claims (10)
- 人間の眼の角膜に適用された架橋剤を活性化するためのシステムであって、
角膜に送達される紫外線の光活性化光を送達するための光源及び光学素子と、
前記光学素子が、行と列に配置された複数の鏡を持つ反射鏡アレイを含み、前記の複数の鏡が、前記反射鏡アレイの前記の複数の鏡に対応した画素を持つ画素化強度パターンに従って、前記人間の眼に向かって前記紫外線の光活性化光を選択的に方向付けるように適合され、
角膜の架橋処置のためにプログラムされた制御装置であって、少なくとも一つの前記光源及び前記光学素子をプログラムで制御するために、1つ以上の制御信号を提供する制御装置と、
を含み、
前記1つ以上の制御信号に従って、前記光源は、波長、帯域幅、強度、出力、角膜中の位置、浸透の深さ、および治療時間の任意の組み合わせを制御することによって特定される用量に従ってエネルギーの量が5J/cm2よりも大きい有効量を送達できるように、前記紫外線の光活性化光を少なくとも30mW/cm2の強さで送出し、それにより前記角膜に適用される前記架橋剤が安全に活性化され、及び、正確に制御されて前記複数の鏡に適用されて角膜に送達される前記紫外線の光活性化光に基づき、前記反射鏡アレイから前記画素化強度パターンが出現する、
システム。 - 前記眼の画像を捕捉するためのカメラをさらに備え、前記カメラの画素が、前記複数の鏡に対応する前記画素にマップされる、
請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記反射鏡アレイの前記複数の鏡が、前記光源からの紫外線の光活性化光を、前記眼に向かって、または、放熱板に向かって、交互に反射するように選択的に制御される、
請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。 - 前記画素化強度パターンの各画素の強度が、時間に比例し、前記反射鏡アレイ中の対応する各鏡が、前記紫外線の光活性化光を前記眼に向かって方向付けるように制御され、それと共に前記紫外線の光活性化光が前記対応する鏡を横切って走査し、
前記制御装置が、前記時間と、前記画素化強度パターンを得られるように前記紫外線の光活性化光を前記眼に向かって方向付けるように制御されるように前記反射鏡アレイ中の各鏡と、を制御するように構成される、
請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記角膜に前記架橋剤を適用するように適合されたアプリケータを含み、
前記架橋剤が、リボフラビンまたはローズベンガルである、
請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記架橋剤は、角膜組織を強化するために、架橋を開始させるための紫外線の光活性化光により活性化される、
請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記画素化強度パターンの焦点を、少なくとも部分的に、前記眼の前記角膜組織内にある焦点面に合わせるための対物レンズをさらに備える、
請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記眼のビデオ画像を捕捉するためのカメラと、
前記眼に関連する頭を拘束するための頭部拘束装置と、
前記の捕捉されたビデオ画像に従って生成された標的信号に従って、前記対物レンズの位置を調節するように適合された電動マウント
をさらに備える、
請求項7のシステム。 - 前記画素化強度パターンが、前記目の角膜表面に対応する前記対物レンズの焦点深度の位置を制御することで合焦されるように、前記制御装置が、前記角膜中の深度を制御するようにさらに構成される、
請求項7〜8の何れか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記反射鏡アレイに対応する前記対物レンズの前記位置を調整するように構成された対物レンズモーターをさらに含み、
前記制御装置は、前記角膜の角膜表面と、前記角膜の角膜実質中の中深度領域との間の複数の異なる面に、3次元で前記画素化強度パターンを提供できるように、前記対物レンズモーターを介して前記対物レンズの焦点面を調整するように構成される、
請求項7〜9の何れか1項に記載のシステム。
