Description

- 第1のポリエステルが、水酸化ナトリウムのアルカリ性溶液に対して第2のポリエステルと比較して大きな溶解度を有する、請求項3に記載のスワブ。
- 第1のポリエステルが、水中5重量%〜50重量%の水酸化ナトリウムを含有する水酸化ナトリウム溶液であるアルカリ性溶液に対して第2のポリエステルと比較して大きな溶解度を有する、請求項4に記載のスワブ。
- 第1のポリエステルが、水中10重量%の水酸化ナトリウムのアルカリ性溶液に対して第2のポリエステルと比較して大きな溶解度を有する、請求項5に記載のスワブ。
- 第1のポリエステルが、加熱したアルカリ性溶液に対して第2のポリエステルと比較して大きな溶解度を有する、請求項3に記載のスワブ。
- 第1のポリエステルが、170°F〜190°Fの温度に加熱したアルカリ性溶液に対して第2のポリエステルと比較して大きな溶解度を有する、請求項7に記載のスワブ。
- 繊維が前記アプリケーターの末端部分に付着している、請求項1に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が前記末端部分に接着剤で接着されている、請求項9に記載のスワブ。
- 前記接着剤が、光硬化性アクリル接着剤およびポリウレタン接着剤からなる群から選択される、請求項10に記載のスワブ。
- 前記バイコンポーネント繊維が、繊維当たり10〜3000個の島部分を含む、請求項1に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり10〜240個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり10〜64個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり10〜37個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり10〜36個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり10〜24個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 前記繊維が、繊維当たり24〜36個の島部分を含む、請求項12に記載のスワブ。
- 請求項9に記載のスワブを形成する方法であって、バイコンポーネント繊維を前記アプリケーターに接着するステップと、加熱したアルカリ性溶媒中で前記バイコンポーネント繊維の海成分の一部を除去するステップと、前記海成分を除去した前記繊維の末端に機械力を印加することによって前記ランダムに外に広がった繊維を形成するステップとを含む方法。
