Description
−電気自動車の駆動系の構成−
図1は、エンジン搭載の電気自動車の駆動系を模式的に示すブロック図であり、この電気自動車(以下、車両とも言う)1は、近距離走行時(例えば50km以下の走行時)には、家庭用電源など外部電源からの外部電力が供給されて充電されたバッテリ12の電力を、モータ16に供給して駆動輪を駆動させる一方、遠距離走行時には、エンジン10によってジェネレータ(発電機)14を駆動してその発電電力をバッテリ12に供給して充電して、その充電されたバッテリ12の電力をモータ16に供給して駆動輪を駆動させるプラグインハイブリッド車である。このプラグインハイブリッド車は、上述の如く、エンジン10及びモータ16を動力源として備え、このエンジン10は発電にのみ使用して、車両1が動くための動力は全てモータ16に頼っているシリーズ式ハイブリッド車である。
以下、電気自動車1の全体構造について説明する。図2は、電気自動車の全体構造を示す概略側面図、図3は、電気自動車の全体構造を示す概略平面図、図4は、発電ユニットやモータ等のペリメータフレームへの取付を示す概略平面図、図5は、発電ユニットやモータ等のペリメータフレームへの取付を示す概略側面図、図6は、空調ユニットやモータ等の配置構造を示す概略平面図である。尚、これらの図では、図を見易くするため、部材の図示省略や簡略化などを適宜行っている。
以上により、本実施形態によれば、エンジン10、ジェネレータ14及びプラネタリギヤ装置34が一体となって発電ユニットUを構成するとともに、この発電ユニットUをエンジンルーム44内に配置し、発電ユニットUの全体を左右の前輪26,28の車輪軸Aよりも車両後方に配置しているので、比較的重量のあるエンジン10及びジェネレータ14が比較的車両後方側に配置されることになり、ヨー慣性モーメントを低減させることができる。
本参考例は、発電ユニットUを左右のフロントサイドフレーム46,48のいずれか一方に隣接するように配置している点などで実施形態1と相違するものである。以下、この相違点について説明する。
本参考例によれば、実施形態1とほぼ同様の効果が得られる。
本参考例は、後輪52,54を駆動させるモータ16を備えている車両1が、エンジン10によってジェネレータ14を駆動して発電するのに加えて、エンジン10の動力を動力分割機構を介して前輪26,28に伝える、四輪駆動走行可能なシリーズ・パラレル式ハイブリッド車である点などで実施形態1と相違するものである。以下、この相違点について説明する。
以下、ハイブリッドシステムの動作について説明する。図12は、プラネタリギヤ装置のサンギヤ(ジェネレータ)、プラネタリキャリア(駆動軸)及びリングギヤ(エンジン)の回転数の関係を示す共線図である。
以上により、本参考例によれば、実施形態1とほぼ同様の効果が得られる。
本参考例は、エンジン10のエキセントリックシャフト10cとジェネレータ14の回転軸14aとをプラネタリギヤ装置34を介して並列連結している点などで参考例2と異なるものである。以下、この相違点について説明する。
上記実施形態及び参考例では、エンジン10及びジェネレータ14を車幅方向又は車両前後方向に並べて配置しているが、これに限らず、図16に示すように、前輪26,28の車輪軸Aよりも車両後方にエンジン10がジェネレータ14の下方に位置するように上下方向に並べて配置してもよい(参考例4)。このように、上下方向に並べて配置した場合、発電ユニットUの車両側方にスペースを空けることができ、エンジンルーム44をより一層有効利用することができる。また、エンジン10及びジェネレータ14を、該エンジン10が該ジェネレータ14の下方に位置するように上下方向に並べて配置しているので、比較的重量のあるエンジン10が比較的下方側に配置されることになり、重心を低くすることができる。

Claims (1)
- エンジンと該エンジンによって駆動可能な発電機と少なくとも該発電機からの発電電力が供給されて充電されるバッテリと該バッテリから電力が供給されて駆動輪を駆動させるモータとを備えている電気自動車の車両構造であって、
上記エンジンと上記発電機と該エンジンの動力を該発電機に伝達する動力伝達装置とが一体となって発電ユニットを構成しており、
上記エンジンは、ロータリーエンジンであり、
上記動力伝達装置は、プラネタリギヤ装置であり、
上記エンジン、上記発電機及び上記プラネタリギヤ装置は、該エンジンの駆動軸と該発電機の回転軸とが車幅方向に延び且つ同軸上に位置するように、上記エンジン、上記プラネタリギヤ装置、上記発電機の順に車幅方向に並んで配置されており、
上記発電ユニットは、その全体が左右の前輪の車輪軸よりも車両後方に位置するようにエンジンルーム内に配置されており、
上記エンジンルーム内における上記発電ユニットの上方に配置された空調ユニットと、上記エンジンルーム内における上記発電ユニットよりも車両前方に配置されたインバータとをさらに備えており、
上記空調ユニットは、外気導入通路を有しており、
上記外気導入通路は、上記インバータの上方を通って上記エンジンルーム内の車幅方向中央部に達していることを特徴とする電気自動車の車両構造。
