Description
1.乳化に十分な濃度でゴム様重合体を水に不溶の揮発性有機溶媒に加えた溶液を調製する
2.溶液を、加圧下、界面活性剤(例えば、スルホコハク酸ナトリウムのジオクチルエステル)を含有する水に入れる
3.消泡剤(例えば、ポリシリコーン油)を加え、乳濁液になるまで混合物を撹拌する
4.フラッシュする(flashing)ことにより(過剰な発泡を回避しながら)溶媒を除去する
5.乳濁液を24時間静置し、漿液(含有固形分2%未満)を除去することで、乳濁液の固形分濃度を高める。
高シスポリイソプレン(MW約300万、アニオン重合により製造)をn−ペンタンに溶解して、ゴムセメントを調製した。調製は、約10重量%の固形分で行なった。ロジン型界面活性剤を用いて、濃度約1重量%で界面活性剤水溶液を調製した。
Claims (11)
- (a)適した有機溶媒に溶解したゴムを含むセメントを、界面活性剤水溶液とともに乳化、こうして水中油乳濁液を形成する工程;
(b)連続撹拌容器(1)を用いて、2ステージ以上の段階での水中油乳濁液の溶媒含量の段階的減少により人工ラテックスを得る工程;
を含み、
連続撹拌容器(1)は、撹拌手段(2)、供給口(3)、通気出口(4)、および生成物出口(5)を備えており、
供給口(3)および生成物出口(5)は、人工ラテックスの一部を再利用するための再沸騰ループ(6)の一部であり、
再沸騰ループ(6)は、生成物放出口(7)、循環ポンプ(9)、加熱手段(10)、および水中油乳濁液用入り口(11)を含み、
工程(b)のステージ1では、人工ラテックスの一部を、溶媒の沸点より高い温度に加熱して、乳濁液と混合し、溶媒を蒸発させることにより、溶媒の一部を除去する
ことを特徴とする、人工ラテックスの調製方法。 - 再沸騰ループ(6)を用い、それによりステージ1で生成した人工ラテックスの一部を加熱および水中油乳濁液と混合する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 泡制御剤を工程(b)の1ステージ以上で用いて発泡を減らす、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 再沸騰ループ(6)がさらに、泡制御剤用入り口(8)、蒸気入り口(12)、またはその両方を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 乳濁液は、最初の溶媒含量が50から60重量%の範囲(乳濁液全体を基準として)である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)のステージ1で調製した人工ラテックスは、溶媒含量が最初の含量に対して、0.05から3重量%の範囲(乳濁液全体を基準として)に減少している、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 再沸騰ループは、再利用する人工ラテックスと水中油乳濁液が合流する点より上流に、加熱手段として熱交換器を備えており、熱交換器は、再利用する人工ラテックスの温度を2から10℃上げる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- ゴムはイソプレンゴムである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 溶媒に溶解させるゴムの量は、20重量%未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 溶媒は、高くても82℃の沸点を有する有機溶媒である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 溶媒が、ペンタン、シクロペンタン、ヘキサン、シクロヘキサン、これらの異性体および混合物から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
