Claims (13)
- 有機溶媒と高分子化合物とを含む液を支持体上にキャストしてキャスト膜を形成し、前記キャスト膜を乾燥させて空隙が複数形成されたフィルムとするフィルム製造方法において、
温度及び露点を制御した風が送られる第1ゾーン内で、温度制御されている支持体の上の前記キャスト膜に結露させて水滴を形成し、成長させる結露工程と、
前記第1ゾーンと区画され、乾燥風が送られる第2ゾーン内で、前記支持体上の前記キャスト膜から前記有機溶媒と前記水滴とを蒸発させる蒸発工程とを有し、
搬送されている前記支持体上に前記液をキャストし、前記支持体の搬送方向の上流側から順に配された前記第1ゾーンと前記第2ゾーンとに前記支持体を搬送することにより前記結露工程の後に前記蒸発工程を行い、
前記風を、搬送されている前記支持体上のキャスト膜に対して追い風となるように供給することを特徴とするフィルムの製造方法。 - 温調手段を有し、前記支持体に周面が接触する回転ローラにより、前記支持体の温度を制御することを特徴とする請求項1記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記風をキャスト膜に平行な向きで供給することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記蒸発工程では、前記有機溶媒を蒸発させてから前記水滴を蒸発させることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 同温同圧下において前記水滴よりも蒸発速度が速い前記有機溶媒を用いることにより、前記有機溶媒を蒸発させてから前記水滴を蒸発させることを特徴とする請求項4記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記第1ゾーンの露点をTD1(℃)、前記キャスト膜の表面温度をTL(℃)とするときに、
前記第1ゾーンでは、前記風の温度及び露点と、前記支持体の温度とを制御して、80℃≧TD1(℃)−TL(℃)≧0℃にすることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。 - 前記キャスト膜が第1ゾーンを通過する時間を調整することにより、前記空隙の形態を調整することを特徴とする請求項1ないし6いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記第1ゾーンに至るまでの前記支持体の搬送路と水平方向とのなす角は10°以内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし7いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記第1ゾーンにおける前記支持体の搬送路と水平方向とのなす角は10°以内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし8いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記キャスト膜に対向する送風口から前記風を送る送風手段と、前記キャスト膜の走行方向における前記送風口の下流で前記風を吸引する吸引手段とを備える送風吸引ユニットにより、前記第1ゾーンにおける結露条件を調整することを特徴とする請求項1ないし9いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記第1ゾーンにおける前記支持体の搬送方向に並べて配され、独立して制御される複数の前記送風吸引ユニットにより、前記キャスト膜の走行方向に沿って結露の条件を調整することを特徴とする請求項10記載のフィルムの製造方法。
- 前記第2ゾーンの露点をTD2(℃)、前記キャスト膜の表面温度をTL(℃)とするときに、
前記第2ゾーンでは、前記風の温度及び露点と、前記支持体の温度とを制御して、80℃≧TL−TD2(℃))≧1℃にすることを特徴とする請求項1ないし11いずれか1項記載のフィルムの製造方法。 - 前記第1ゾーンと第2ゾーンとは、外部空間と仕切られてあることを特徴とする請求項1ないし12いずれか1項記載のフィルム製造方法。
